same with the rain forests . you don't know what is buried in there . loggers don't care , they're gonna cut all the trees and plow it all up
I always think with story tellers like Chris Knight and Steve Earle in their music I mean you listen to their interviews and especially Chris Knight, man he writes about people he meets. He doesn't know them he just meets them day to day and learns about them and BAM he writes a song about them, they don't even know it. So Steve Earle was meant to know about the guy in this song he's sing from his perspective. I know Steve doesn't like the death penalty which is what this ballad is about I guess. I disagree with him but whatever. This song always sends chills down my spin. It's just so raw. It must have been hard for him to write. I've heard him sing it in a number of versus, he always sings with a lot of emotion. One my favourite songs I think.
It is -11C here this morning and yesterday's snow is still on the ground. I was prepping our veggie garden on the weekend. Wtf is going on!?
I don't know if we each have a destiny, or if we're all just floating around accidental-like on a breeze
Yes, but I'm not sure destiny has much to do with it. Which makes me wonder, when is our destiny determined? Before our birth already? At birth? Some where during our lifes?
As soon as you think you have figured out what your destiny is and put all your efforts into that path... Goddess will come along and and say "Nope... That's not it."
Pic of me and the team coming in under speed into pit lane from 200mph. Pretty close grouping. we will always plan to pit with each other so need to learn to be close.
wow omg so we were doing our practice qualifying runs and i came up with an idea to do like 5 burnouts donuts before we started our out lap and I was a whole 1 tenth quicker for doing so! sounds not much but its a lot. and it's because if I heat the tires up hot enough, it creates pressure and pressure = less tire sag into the track = less friction = more speed. I fucken love science
I dont think I believe in destiny actually. I think if we're lucky we make choices, and if we're really lucky we make good choices. And sometimes even our good choices don't work out as intended. And sometimes we aren't given a choice and have to do the best we can with our circumstances, which weren't decided by fate but by some absurd set of circumstances/chain of events For some reason this reminded me of Voltaire's Candide, which is a really good satire that pokes fun of the idea that humans are given their circumstances by design. 10/10 recommend if anyone needs some quarantine reading material (Do I sound pretentious going around recommending books like this? I hope not)
lol... yeah. Me too. It feels like it's not necessary, but I'm trained. We have a bottle of 409 & a bowl of soapy water so I can wipe everything down when I get home. I saw one guy who was touching everything at the big box store when the virus was first being discussed. I was a little amazed and partly disgusted. He couldn't keep his hands off of the bags of frozen vegetables... But I just held my nose and bought my things.
