When were baby boomers born?

In the US, the baby boomers were born between the years 1946 and 1964, while in Canada, the baby boom occurred between 1947 and 1966, and in Australia between 1946 and 1961. It is estimated that around 79 million kids were born during the baby boom era


all six of mom and dads kids were in this bracket ….the only reason it stopped is because it is too expensive to have 6 kids anymore.....there is nothing to defend.....pick any era in recent history and you will find discoveries that change peoples lives forever....specially the baby boom years.....there are quite a few commendable boomers

 

kind of fucked up how I said nothing to defend and then I defended it..... haha what a maroon

 

So conflicted about taking my meds and risking my immune system, fuck. Also, have to figure out what to do with my kid for an extra two weeks (at least). Shit got real, really quickly.

Speaking of that, I was out getting groceries and running errands today and there was no toilet paper, disinfecting wipes, or hand sanitizer left anywhere.

 

Pretty much the same all over from what I'm hearing.

 

The knock on effect of the situation is going to be catastrophic now, whatever else happens.

 

I disagree that those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it. The world evolves. You can compare the past with the present, but it's not really the same thing. In fact, I think all of history could be lost and the possibility exists that all that would be left are peaceful people.

We don't know the value of human life, and we are condemned to keep disregarding it.

As for the Germans, I just don't think they should have a blindfold on that assures them something is happening outside of their line of sight. It's the tendency of people to think that what they can't see they're being denied for selfish, greedy reasons. But Nazi, Germany can literally happen anywhere to any people, and has happened to other people than the Germans.

 

I feel for the people on disability and welfare who don't get their cheques for another week or two.

And all of these people going without pay, potentially for weeks - how the fuck are they going to manage? This is the biggest argument for UBI and strong social institutions I've ever seen.

 

Life feels so damn strange right now. Just this weird in limbo feeling. Nothing has really changed much here except sold out TP everywhere, but it kind of feels like everyone is just waiting for something

 

A guy here who owns a lighting company for big events.. Everything cancelled.. Business losing hundreds of thousands of dollars.. He can't pay anyone. That's just one guy. Even if we cure the virus, people's lives are going to be turned upside down. And as I said in the other thread, this will happen again. Human race needs to radically rethink itself and the way it needs to exist.

 

Over a cold like virus.. This is why the aliens don't get with us..

 

I'm lucky I get my taxes back or I'd be screwed for the time being. Everybody's gonna get sick. Well, every family, likely. Meaning there will be some connection. I've got nobody. If grocery stores close, I don't know how I'll eat. But we'll work something out. Maybe I'll become real slick with a gun.

 

With people eating live mice and bats we're lucky this disease isn't any more deadly than it is.

 

Yeah I'm not looking forward to being back in England. Feels safer in a country that has wilderness.

 

I've become really aware of how often I touch my face
