Pulling out is an excellent way of birth control!

Congrats on the baby, though :)

That was slightly sarcastic ;) Pulling out is a really bad way to have sex...

I've been using this method for about 7 months now, and I've never used any other method ever! Condoms make me lose all feeling, but you guys kinda scared me and I think I'll try to talk to her about taking the pill. I mean she's already kinda talked about it and she has used it before. And she's only 16 so I don't want to fuck up her life....

... Or your own? Making a baby would not be only her doing. It would effect you as well. Have her talk to a doctor or planned parenthood worker about her options for birth control.

Before my husband and I got married we decided on me not going on any formal birthcontrol method. We made that decision though understanding the risk of getting pregnant. I've only been on birthcontrol for a few months through my life and I hated it. I much rather go to SAMs club and buy a 100 ct. of condoms for $10 (yes they are super cheap there).
Just becareful, if you decide to stick with this method make sure you are willing to live with the consequences weather that be having a baby, going through an abortion or giving it up to adoption. You need to everything planned out just incase.

Can I just say that the "pull out method" is NOT birth control!

Can I also say i agree that, well, it makes me uncomfortable when I think of girls messing with their natural cycle (i know it seems weird). But anything unnatural does make me think and wonder. So I dont think its wrong, but I completely understand anyone that thinks its wrong for THEM. Completely with you there.

if like you say youd rather have a baby than mess with your natural cycles then the choice is simple - you just said it. Baby it is. Are you really sure about that? cos a baby will affect your sex life too.

Someone wrote it may not be today, or tomorrow - true. But it could be too. It could be any time. So just keep that in mind and talk to your partner about it and maybe weigh up the options...

On a lighter note, maybe if you buy him a laptop and make him use it all the time directly on his lap, the heat and radiation will kill his sperm lol I call it the "Laptop" method of birth control :p (btw that can apparently happen and it can be permanent so be careful kids)

EDIT: This is a great point too, theres a lot in this thread

I completely agree. If you are going to use no formal b/c, then you definitely need to know what risks you are taking and how you will deal with the consequences. This is really good advice.

I worry too much about having a baby with someone I'm not sure I'm going to be with forever. So, I usually take the easy option - which is the condom. I have used the pull out method a few times which has always been close but i was with someone as geeky as me once and she read up on things to find that sperm can only survive for four hours out of the body (so having sex with a cummy dick shouldn't be done within 4 hours of the previous screw) and the ovary takes 3 days (I think) to release an egg after the end of a period. So, after she stopped bleeding it was a free run :) I loved it. So did she.
