please consider another method. a baby is certainly a blessing, but if it isn't the right time for you, an abortion is such a physically and emotionally trying thing to go through -- even if you know it is for the best, you never forget.

if traditional methods do not work for you, there are several methods of herbal contraception available.

I don't know you, but my thoughts will be with you -- if you'd like to talk more, feel free to pm me.

there are herbal abortion methods as well
people are willing to consider different things in some cases once they actually are in the situation
just trying to let her (and others) know that there are other (non-traditional) options out there.

if the child isn't yours, I suppose you're not obligated to stay.
but if you love her? you will figure out what's right for you. it's not really my place to say.
I will say, though, that love can do amazing things. can get you through things you wouldn't expect.

hope everything turns out okay (for OP and you, popper.)

    To darthkaci-
Thank you for the concern and the page on herbal contraception. Thats very interesting. I am 110% against abortion.
Though I feel it is the woman's right I believe that a lot of mental damage can be prevented through not having abortions. As you said, as 'right' as they may be for the moment, they stay with you forever. I am pro-life, as well. I do abortion protests every year in my high school and hand out info and offer to speak with girls considering abortion to give them support and help them consider other options and girls who have had abortions find consolation-

Not to go off on a tangent there or sound stuck up or anything, I just wouldn't want anyone to think I am for abortions here and if I just slip up- Oh well, to the clinic!
Thank you for all the info though, I'm trying to be more careful.

    To Peter-
I am sorry to hear that happened to your girlfriend. I wouldn't be so distraught though. I mean, I'm guessing you knew about the baby when you went into the relationship and if you love her, love will seek you through those rough patches. Keep your head up, man. If it isn't for you, then forget it. There will be other guys for her and plenty other childless girls for you since your so young. I am, however, not a devout Christian so my reasons are not because of my religion. My aunt was on birth control when she was young, and she had multiple miscarriages after getting off, one after the other. It made her infertile due to complications. Both my close cousins got pregnant at sixteen and seventeen. Not saying that is the way to go, obviously. But its not a death sentence either. They're both very happy.

I totally understand the point everyone is trying to state that the pull out method is unsafe. I think its a good thing to be argued on a birth control board anyway, because many people do rely on it its good to know what everyone thinks.

If you're not responsible enough to find a safe method of contraception you're going to have some trouble being a mother, sorry to be "that guy" but well... yeah...

Why the hell do you care about messin up your "natural cycle" or whatever???
Birth control will make your periods more regular and lighter. I think I would be worried about getting preggo rather than having a natural cycle.

My daughter is product of pre-cum. SO yeah- there's little sermies in there. :p

I am against birth control for myself. I like you am not going to mess with my natural cycle but putting in even more horomones. It's just not healthy, no matter who approves it. Plus I just can't do it consciencously.

We have a 10 month old daughter and just lost one at almost 5 months preggo. I'm trying different ways to keep from getting pregnant again. Pomegranite juice, which I LOVE, helps with natural birth control. I'm drinking & eating it, pulling out, and counting my ovulation.

I won't use IUDs or horomones because they also cause health issues-the most common is clots. As I said, no matter who approves it I'm not going to use/take chemicals to change me.

It's about being responsible. Could you really care for a child at this point and give them any kind of life? Use the sponge then.

some friends of mine swore by the pull and shoot method but it turned out she couldn't get knocked up. They found that out when they finally want to have a kid.

Birth control would be your best bet. The best part is when your under 18 you can go to your local clinic and get it for free. Your way better off this way. You don't want to have a baby while your still in high school. I'm 23 and my wife and I recently had a baby and trust me it's alotta work.

Well, I hate to be the odd one out, but that's the method my love and I have been using for 3 years now and 3 years no baby yet. But I wouldn't have even come close to doing that in high school, I would've been nowhere near capable of having a child to care for. I'm in a situation now that if an "uh-oh" happens and I do get pregnant, I can take care of it, I have a plan, and I'm in a long-term and seriously committed relationship. If condoms irritate you, try a different kind, a different material, or lube. Maybe if your mom won't help you out, you should go to a planned parenthood clinic yourself and see what they have to offer.

Isn't it more annoying to pull out before anyone gets off than it is to shell out for condoms?

(this isn't an attack, just genuine curiosity ;) )

Uh, not it doesn't. To think so is moronic. It has a VERY high chance of failing.
