    Well hoo boy it was a good one anyway! And yeah, when it comes to events outside this country, libertarians do make a lot of sense - quite an admirable outlook!

    Maybe you have a point. Will you apply this reasoning to a specific event? The BP spill in the Gulf... who should have taken responsibility for it? On the (offchance?) you say 'BP' then what is the recourse for those affected by the spill if BP chooses to not accept responsibility for it?

    The thread hasn't been derailed. At least no more than to rescue philosophy from a philosophy of liberty. ;)
