I had three mango trees in my yard growing up in Honduras... so I'm pretty much burned out on mango for the rest of my life.

I like green mango better than yellow though... it's awesome when it's not ripe, and you add some chili and vinegar and pepper and stuff to it... and it's just... well awesome. My maid used to make it so fucken well.

 

This forum battles without actually caring quite often...

The fruit , there are so many different kinds of mango. I love it on sushi and salads and I like when is yellow alone.

Being the not so tropical bible belter that I am, I can't recall ever having a "really good" mango.

Get some green mango, ya know... that's not ripe.

Cut it into small chunks and soak it in vinegar and lemon juice with pepper (or piemienta y cominos) in it. Then dip it in what gringos would call "tobasco", and enjoy.
