If I don't have to work I'm going to smoke DMT for the first time, then dress as an escaped lobotomy patient. Plans for the rest of the evening are still open to revision. I gave out candy last year but kids around here suck at Halloween and we only got like 3 kids the whole night. I even had a cool spooky "game" set up on my decorated porch where they had to pick from 2 mysterious boxes... one was full of candy and the other was full of live rats I still gave them candy if they picked the rat box, but the few kids who came around thought the rats were cool and wanted to hold and pet them. Makeup from last year: Sorry they're huge The past few Halloweens have been a letdown and I had more fun in the days leading up to it carving pumpkins, doing hayrides, watching horror movies, etc. Halloween night always ends at some lame ass party with no decorations and a few people in half-assed costumes who are more concerned about watching the baseball game. I want a GOOD party or to do something cool and spoooooky like have a bonfire in the woods and camp out telling ghost stories and stuff, but I don't have camping equipment or any willing participants. There's plenty of fun stuff to do before Halloween but it seems like on Halloween night there's nothing for adults to do but go to the bar or a lame party. You're lucky if you know someone who throws a good party, I sure don't. Halloween certainly isn't what it used to be. Back then I remember like ALL MONTH LONG there would be cool Halloween shows and specials on TV (Garfield Halloween FTW!) and that was just basic cable. People went all out and decorated their porches and yards. Kids seemed to be way more excited back then, we would start trick-or-treating the minute the sun went down only returning home to dump out our full candy sacks and hit the streets again until 11 or 12. These days, a few parents with toddlers will start out at like 3pm (wtf?) and ALL trick-or-treating is completely done by 7pm at the latest. The costumes are lame for the most part, either completely store bought or a half-assed mask and hat deal. Sigh. Guess you have to make your own fun, but it's hard when no adults I know get as excited about it as me. The DMT should be a special enough event to celebrate the day though.
