Youre far too late with that one Saw you aaaages ago. Nowt wrong wi'yoowa moog like! Ok I give up. Brought up in the north (partly) but I always had a southern accent. I cant explain why. Apart from the a's. I do short ones.

Also I'm named after the Nyika Plateau in Zambia and I think it means 'little world' in Afrikaans and 'plain' (as in desert plain) in Swahili.

My accent is ok. Sometimes posh, sometimes not so posh.

 

I just tried to give a sample of my accent by spelling it out phonetically but that was a total failure

 

I can't do phonetics.. I get more and more northern when I get drunk or pissed off.. if you annoy me you get a taste of broadest Lincolnshire mixed with fuck-knows-what.

Normally, I have quite a northern accent but nothing pushes the accent oop north like alcohol or anger, or both

So Nyika Plateau means "Plain Plateau"? That figures. Lake Malawi used to be called Lake Nyasa, literally "Lake Lake".

 

Just before going out I decided to check what the weather was like, so my first thought was to go to the BBC Weather Centre website. Then I realised I could just look out of the window. I spend too much time on teh internets
