Today my hands are wrecked after attacking the climbing wall for a couple of hours

 

Went out with my mate and his dad for his dads birthday to one of the very few pubs that sells bathams bitter, lets me say that it was entirely worth the 2 trains it took to get there.

 

Last night I had to explain to a lady friend that we are getting too close and that I just can't do that right now. Something that I should have done 5 years ago with 'the little woman.'

I guess you live and learn...

Was ill yesterday so didn't do any work. Still a bit ill today but needed to make shite loads of beads.Came back uni earlier and finished off making a haatt. It's a large beanie to fit over my dreads ^^ Super tired tonight. But my sister wants me to make her a fish hat in 2 weeks, so I'd better get started ..

My housemate just said her radiator wasn't working. It wasn't turned on. Earlier she asked me to put up an ironing board for her. Last week she asked me if I could light a candle for her, because she'd never used a lighter before. A couple of weeks ago she put the electricity meter key in the wrong way. THE WRONG WAY. This this is about 2cm high and 0.8cm wide. It's actually impossible to not know how to put it in. But, no, she managed to shove it in the wrong way. She has left used sanitary towels on the floor of the bathroom. In her last house, she walked in on two people shagging, and she didn't even realise. She just stood there trying to have a conversation. This girl has been wrapped in bubble wrap by her parents (understandable because of the shit she's been through- cancer and stuff) but I mean really. She doesn't know anything.

*Bangs head against wall*

Dragonvine, I got a flatmate like that, but she doesn't have an excuse - her parents are just filthy rich, so she had a maid and stuff. Never cooked, never cleaned, never did anything really. I had to turn on her radiator too. And show her how to use a hoover and a cooker (I was petrified she's going to burn the house down for WEEKS), she regularly floods her room while in shower (no idea how she manages to do that) and is just so, but so naive. Especially when it comes to money and 'real world'. We started looking for a house for the next year and while me and a friend of mine were setting priorities as "cheap, dry, warm" she wanted a massive living room and flat screen tv... And then when we tried to explain that we can't afford that, so it's simply not going to happen, she said that maybe she will just ask her father to buy her a house, since she can't be bothered to look around for a place to live...

EDIT: oh and as for that roommate situation, I'm pretty sure I would be that roommate. Except that I rarely ask for help when I need it so I wouldn't be annoying in that way. I'd probably just end up dying of starvation or food poisoning or setting everything on fire or flooding or my general ineptitude.

I think Suzanne's (weird housemate) parents are filthy rich too, they pay for her tutition fees and her rent. But she had cancer when she was about 10 I think, so now her parents have wrapped her in bubble wrap. She goes home every weekend (she lives 15 mins away from the uni, why the fuck she isn't living at home I don't know.. oh wait, yes I do, "i hate my brother, he always steals my food, my parents are so annoying, I moved out to get some independence"... Yet she rings her mum every minute of the day.) I can totally understand why the parents are so.. bubbly wrappy, but I mean really, you'd have thought they would have prepared her at least a bit.

Lol Mirithiar that girl sounds hilarious. "oh daddy, can I have a house please?" Why are you even considering moving in with her for next year?!!

I've had a wicked morning in glass. Did some more 3 gather pieces, the seconde one I did was super heavy (was more like 3 and a half gathers) and now my arms feel like jelly!! I'll have guns [or insert alternative muscley-arm ajective here] by the end of the week.

And also, I found another mysterious jar of white powder, which actually turned out to be coloured white glass powder!! Very good news.

My department is falling to pieces. They've basically forced my glass tutor to take redundancy. He'll be around till june, but the year below me, as far as we know, won't have any glass tutoring. Fucking twats in management have no idea what they are doing. We are going to join forces with the 2nd years and get all legal on their arse.

So because of that I'm in a shit mood and I'm tired. I need a cuddle ><
