Kroger, Publix, Whole Foods...that's those are the most apparent...there are LOTS of those stores around here...fortunately, there aren't any Walmarts inside the perimeter (the highway that surrounds Alanta), but they are trying...so far, not succeeding
We have Sobey's, Zehrs, IGA(used to be Foodland though...), A&P and Food Basics.... Thats around my mom's however... At my dads, there are all those, plus a Commisso's, Calbeck's and The Brant Food Centre, which is a really fresh market-y sorta place owned by this grand Italian family ...
Here we have Tesco, Sainbury's, Waitrose, Marks & Spencer, Somerfield and.. errr.. yeah, those are the normal chains. Then Infinity Foods which is completely fair trade, organic and vegetarian or vegan. And Taj which is mostly organic also, and has foods from all over the world.
Super Stop & Shop, Shaws/Star Market, BJ's. we used to have Flanagins, it was a local grocery store, but Stop and Shop bought it out...that was years ago...
im in alaska and there arent many stores up here the main ones are carrs/safeway and fred meyer, Farmers loop market is pretty cool but its only open during summer months because they have it outside
Hahahahahaha we have a shop at the end of our road called knocker's - thats the best name for a fruit and veg shop agreed!
we have thrifty's, safeway, save-on-foods, farmers market, costco, walmart, lots of places... buying groceries is sometimes an undesireable task when you consider the alternative, my city has the largest number of restaurants per capita in north america.
You are, Blanche! While Shop*Rite might be a supermarket, RiteAid and Walgreens and CVS are drug stores. Not a place to buy chop meat, fresh veggies or goodies.
heh!!! We have the same as you Duncan down here and costco people are weird unless you have like 40 kids or something
We only have one grocery in the town I live in: Kroger. About three years ago it used to be FoodTown. In neighboring cities people shop at Meijer, Farmer Jack, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, WalMart, Busch's
Ralphs, Kroger, save a lot, wal-mart, IGA, Food4Less, FoodLand... Those are all the ones around my house that I can think of
