hypothetical, that stake is the ONLY thing you have, so you are going to die soon(couple weeks) after eating it. might as well go sooner rather than torture yourself. so no i would not eat it. even if a carrot was the only thing i had.... i am going to die anyway, id rather not prolong my agony.

You are speaking from a position of ego.

In survival mode, the ego is the first thing to get tossed out. It interferes with survival, for the very reason you just stated.

You're not going to die from starvation, you're going to die from rationalizing.

Then you do not understand the nature of karma.

There is greater sin incurred in causing your own death than to eat a piece of meat.

    Karma would say otherwise.

It is through physical and mental action that one accumulates good or bad karma.

The effects of which manifest spiritually.

nope, if it had a face, then i'd never eat it, regardless of if it was raised "humane." How can killing another living thing be humane?

I support your right to bare arms and to hunt. If you are going to eat meat and use other parts of the animal, hunting wild animals seems to be the most humane way to go about doing so. The meat is also usually healthier.

I still wouldn't eat animal products...

About the B12 thing, you used to be able to get B12 from bacteria in soil so you could get it from eating veggies, however because of modern farming methods the bacteria producing B12 has been killed off.

an unnecessary death is still an unnecessary death, no matter how it comes around.
