just as my friends were arriving for a party i was throwing on friday, my landlord calls and lets me know that the people in the apartment above called him to complain that they could smell my weed when i smoke on my balcony. i guess because it's summer and they have their fans going, it blows right into their windows. i told my landlord that it was my friends (i wasn't sure how he'd respond if i told him it was me) and he just said to get them to take a walk next time, not a big deal.

it's annoying that the people above me (who I've never talked to, aside from saying hello when we pass in the hallway) felt the need to call and complain to our landlord instead of just knocking on my door and letting me know it was an issue (or even putting a note under the door!). i completely understand that they don't want their place smelling like weed (i wouldn't either, if i didn't smoke), but why the need to call the landlord about it? now when i see them they just avoid eye-contact instead of nodding and saying hello, and it just seems like they're really uncomfortable now.

my lungs will probably thank them though, since i'll be inside using my vaporizer a lot more often.

 

try living beside a cop..i have a doob going right now and he is sitting 20 feet away...i cannot smoke outside ever

Whenever radios came about people thought it was hurting the music industry at the time because it let people hear everything for free.

If you think about today and all the free downloads, torrents, and leaks out there, you'd think it would hurt a bands success. It definitely can hurt their salary but really having the internet that lets us easily sample new music and let them expand to large amounts of users is certainly beneficial. Plus there are additional outlets for selling their music, media coverage, and so forth.

 

my friend's band has decided to allow people to download their music for free off of their website. they know that people are going to steal it anyway, so they might as well make sure they're getting good quality files.

 

we're finally getting a rainstorm and i'm taking a break from weed. shitty timing!

 

Gotta go to the doctor in the morning. Hopefully I'll get another script of xanax bars.
