i was trying to sleep earlier, can't now. heard a guy yelling outside my window, looked out just in time to see him throw a bicycle at the girl he was with. got dressed quickly and went outside (with a baseball bat). waited until he took off and asked her if she wanted me to call the cops, but she said she was alright and left (in a different direction than him).

too much adrenaline to sleep now.

 

You always want to be careful with something like this. Half the time you intervene and the girl gets mad at you. Cops come and they both complain to the cops about you.

And about 6 months ago a guy was killed near me when he tried to stop a guy from beating up a girl.

in a kind of related note - pot prices in my area are starting to increase due to the canada post strike... hopefully it's over soon.

 

the government should at least force canada post to allow the workers back for a day or two just to clear out the warehouses, so everyone can get their shit back.

 

blame the NDP....they are filibustering parliament so that the union can hold our mail hostage......

 

you realize that it's a lock-out, right? the workers will go back to work as soon as canada post opens the doors and lets them. it will still be a rolling strike, but that just means that the mail might be delayed by a day or two.
