The Warriors (1979) to honor the 40th anniversary.

Sadly Cyrus the Warlord of the Gramercy Riffs is dead, he died of a heart attack 5 years ago.

Most of the remaining cast (with a few exceptions) are still alive

Yes, but it never really held any interest.

I've seen it so many times. Still the funniest movie I've ever seen.

That's actually why it is good. It exegerates reality. Otherwise it would just be another comedy centering around some guys as dumb as Peter Griffin. Which I find really not funny.

Haha!! I was going to ask is it still even classified as comedy?

She's suggesting that's it's becoming an increasingly prophetic dystopia like 1984, rather than a comedic exaggeration

Super - never knew about this but stumbled across it on Prime - watched the trailer and added to the watch list.

7.5/10 - funny, disturbing, touching with some great characters and an interesting message.

I really liked it, but not everyone will. I will leave it at that. Quite humorous.

Yeah. In this movie he actually pokes some bit of fun at the X Men and points out the sexist nature of calling the group X Men as opposed to X People or something like that. It's pretty funny, but there is a lot of swearing. I know that puts some people off.

    The Wolf of Wall Street

A really good film in so many ways. A crazy insight into that world, as it's based on the book written by the real life Jordan Belfort. Hilariously funny.. The scene where he drives home on ludes is especially good. And really well made as a film.. There is this moment where Jordan is giving one of his motivational speeches and makes a joke about how the telephone is not going to ring itself.. And a guy the other side of the room makes quick eye contact with the camera. I believe it was an intentional way of making the viewer feel like someone in the room, making eye contact with a colleague in acknowledgment of the joke.

    Excellent film, anyway.

I don't mind swearing just if the movie isn't boring.
