It was really shit. The characters were completely unbelievable and almost unbearably repulsive, there were plot inconsistencies and the supposed twist was fucking stupid.

Tom Cruise is the kind of guy I'd self harm over if I woke up to find him next to me in bed.

    The Road
(aka The Viggo Mortensen's Naked Ass Movie)

I think it's based on a Cormac McCarthy novel which I haven't read. Did read his All the Pretty Horses and I can see why some people compare his prose to Hemingway.

I kind of liked the film - got me a little misty at the end in a predictable way. Seemed like a pretty realistic portrayal with regard to the dystopian/apocalyptic trope. I also liked the cinematography. I would say the performances were a little flat when compared to The Book of Ely, but that actually may have added to the realism. They are very similar movies in many respects. I like this subject matter, so I've been meaning to check it out for quite some time.

Did not think that the all to frequent flash backs were warranted - this may have been an aspect of the novel, but it rarely translates as well on film. I know directors and screenwriters tend to think this helps with a film's pace, but for me it usually serves as a jarring distraction. Overall, a decent film.

    Scenes of a Sexual Nature

Overly quirky, overly introspective characters. One of the six or seven stories was really great, the rest were decent at best.

"Enter the Void". Awful. Zero content, but I suppose great if you're empty headed and love drugs and vague hints of mysticism. Switched it off half way through. A very rare thing for me, I sat through Avatar for fuck's sake...

"Storytelling" by Todd Solondz. Weird, and sometimes in a good way.
