It's nitro, so there is not going to be a lot of carbonation. Nitro beers have a very soft and creamy mouthfeel with little carbonation. Because it has less co2 than a regular beer, it lacks that prickly carbonation commonly associated with many beers.
Yeah and I visit there a few times a year and am within an hour of several more breweries that are better than most in your area.....outside of Philly of course. But who the fuck would want to go there.
So, I got done with that lame beer. Now I'm half way done with my wonderful second brew... (Alc. 6.5%) Smell: Woody chocolate. Bready backbone. Softly bitter espresso notes. And there seems to be some vanilla wafting about. Taste: Well, hawt damn. The taste almost completely mirrors the smell. Woody chocolate prominence, soft espresso blanketing the experience. The bready backbone is now a cracker backbeat and the vanilla is still sneakin about. Overall, this is an extremely pleasant brew. It's smooth and comforting with just a touch of bitterness to round off the sweeter sides. More easily put? It leaves me wanting more. And more. And the hell with it... y'all get the hottie pic to go with it this time.
Ok... THIS... is what I want. No, both of them. Both the IPA 16 and this damn fine Sugarmaker. Shit man... too many good bears, not enough teleportation devices.
Aha... I didn't know that! I still think it was kinda lame... but now I don't know if it's because it was funked up or because I just don't like that style. Either way, thanks!
Hey now... how do you know you have better breweries in your area than me?!? From what it looks like in the micro-industry these days, you'd be hard pressed to be somewhere that's NOT within an hour of great breweries. Well, assuming you're not living out in the middle of the woods in Montana or something. (But you might get some great moonshine!!) Point is.. we haz gud bier.
Tired Hands is just outside of Philly.... one of the best breweries on the East Coast if not the entire country.
Well, I'm done with the first two. Time to hit up the behemoth of the night. Introducing: (Alc. 12%) Smells like: Vanilla and alcohol. A little bready with a vestigial citrus scent. Warm spices lightly envelop the whole of the scents. Tastes like: Warm spices passed through vanilla waves. Bready body resting on woody laurels. Lemon balm sharpens the edges. Overall, this is another wonderful brew. Heavy and dank, but not resinous. Thick with character, enticing me to drink it faster than I should. >
Just going by the ones I been to kick. I have been to all of them here of course so obviously I was just shit talking. But don't worry I will get to the rest of them in your neck of the woods eventually.
Just checked out tired hands site. Some interesting mixes. Can't say what they taste like from words but I don't feel like I am missing much by staying on the east side of philly.
How about you and your opinions shut the fuck up. Like I am supposed to spend 3 hours driving and $20 in beer purchases to prove your ass wrong? Seth Green lookalike please...
