Picked up a sixer of ballast point sculpin ipa. I've actually never had this one before. The aroma these bad boys give off is intoxicating. Giggity
Drinking Victory DirtWolf Double IPA out of Downingtown PA. This is one of the best of the style I have had to date. The hop profile of this beer is incredible, with lots of fruity, juicy, sweet citrus hops, but also a fair amount of pine as well. The aroma is very zesty, with lots of sweet hops and a distinct spiciness. What I like most about this beer is its drinkablity for being 8.7% alcohol by volume. The alcohol is very well hidden, and the smoothness of the body makes this go down much faster than its ABV should allow. This is not at all a slick or syrupy beer as is often the case with imperial beers. I would highly recommend this if you enjoy this style of hoppy, strong beer. This beer is downright dangerous in its drinkability coupled with relatively high ABV.
Oh hey... I've had that beer! Here's what I wrote about it when I tried it: (Oh wow, that was almost exactly from 2 years ago! (March 5th 2014)
Oh yeah, speaking of forgetting things.. The original reason I opened this thread was to say that I want to start a band. I'm not going to... at least no time soon. But, I think it'd be cool. Especially when I come up with cool band names like: Doc Brown & The Libyans :OMG!: Tell me that isn't bank, yo!
Pictures of it show that it has a really nice head! I would slurp the shit outta that beer! (Assuming it tastes as good as it looks/sounds) By the by, I'm drinking Yard's Love Stout. (5.5% alc) It's not bad, a bit weak bodied for a stout though.
