Tried quite a few tonight, stopped at 3 breweries and had a flight a couple halfs and a snifter. The highlight was the rotating sour at burley oak, the only packaged good was a stout from lower forge, the lowlight was nale house brewery. What was bad about it? Everything. Litteraly everything. No flights, no selection (Do I mean they don't have many beers or do I mean they don't have many different beers?) "Yes!" A dry hop ipa, a neipa, a house ipa, oh time to get different... A nepa and to just fuck with you a lemon Shandy with puree. Can I get beer to go? Nah. Fucking growlers and bottles all over the place but he ain't selling beer in them. So I ask if I can buy a growler empty, nah we are all out. I am fucking looking right at 2 of them. But I can buy his fake ass bomber bottle. I told him I will wait till he gets the real thing. Lower 10% of worst breweries I been to. Oh and I went there first. Then walked over to lower forge. Which was standing room only when I left. Walked back to my car and see both nale employees laying down outside, ask if I'm surprised.
That sounds like a hell of a night, Pens. Mostly frustrating, but.. at least a couple bright moments. Listen to some old Metallica. Always makes things better.
In other news, I'm on to my next conquest of the night! You know... Beer #3: (Alc. 9%) (Troegs - Nimble Giant) Smellerin: Earthy grapefruit, hints of pineapple. Mostly biscuit backbone. And some kinda root off in the background. And a touch of pine in the distance. Tasterin: Earthy pineapple and grapefruit pith bitterness step forward. Crackery biscuit backbone supports kitchen spice (and pine-ish) backbeat. Overallinerin, this is a thick and bold DIPA. A bit more bitter and reisnous that I prefer, but not by much... and wonderful for those who enjoy that profile. This brew only happens once a year, so go get this shit if you can! Even got a pic for this one and everything! Here ya's go! ' hehe
Yeah gotta put something on...dont have any master of puppets though which is the only one I would listen to. Only internet is phone so it would sound like shit.
Hrmm... you must have SOMEthing you could play on something other than a (why-the-fuck-is-the-speaker-on-the=bottom-of-the) phone. Like, maybe an old stereo and along with an 80s mix tape or something? Or maybe your first CD playing boom box with a copy of Debbie Gibson and Scritti Politti?
Master of puppets I'm pulling your strings! I heard a remastered version of that the other day, they increased the bass volume. Can't say I enjoyed it as much as the original.
Not surprised it wasn't as good. Besides familiarity, the bass would've only needed some slight cleaning, if that. Probably could've used high end tweaking and a little bit more adjustment in the mid-range, but the low end was pretty god where it was oriignally. Fuckin hipster Alternica.
I got a shitload of great music I could play. But the only mettalica I have is a free CD I got for going to their concert.
I "Liked" that. But what I really meant was, "hugz, cause that sucks". Well, depends on the CD, but I'm guessing it's not a great one. How about UFO? Got their Prince Kajuku album ? Not even sure when or where I came across it. Possibly in the Village in NYC.
I just realized that's kinda disconnected from Metallica. Not even sure why I thought of it. Actually, I'm positive it has to do with my inebriated state of mind/being. But, hmm, maybe Pantera or Faith No More?
Love that big album from fnm but don't have it. Not a pentera fan. I'm thinking refused will be the next CD I play.
All tequila is low carb, homie. I assume you were joking, though. As far as low carb "beer"... it is an offense to the word beer. In an age of these low calorie alcoholic spritzy drinks (White Claw, etc.), why would anyone want to drink low carb beer? At least the former is drinkable.
