Loved that show when I was younger, don't catch it at all now-a-days. Ross' fro was badass btw, so was his scenic paints.
what a groovy guy - love the show and his 'fro! he's like the Mr. Rogers of the art world, lol have any of you seen the Boondocks episode that pays tribute to him? not only is it a great episode, but there is a terrific version of "Today" playing in the background toward the end - check it out if you get a chance
I used to get stoned and watch that show every day after school. One of my bosses at my last job reminded me so much of Bob Ross. He had to take every Wednesday afternoon off and go get his hair permed. Voices sounded a lot alike, and he was even named Bob. Hmmmm, Maybe Bob Ross faked his death, gained 50 lbs and decided to be a mechanic??????
I was watching an episode once where he directed the audience to "make love to the canvas". I was like, "Hell yeah."
His painting supplies are big business today every Michael's store carries them. I am glad people are still interested in his program. He was to painting what Mr. Rogers was to preschool programs. They were both nice human beings that believed in and enjoyed what they were doing.
Not to bring back a dead topic, but Bob Ross is awesome! In my middle school art class he was kind of an inside joke... we loved him.
Since the switch over from analog to digital tv the local PBS station WENH has expanded to include PBS Kids; World, & Create in which Bob Ross can now be seen at like 3:00 am Hotwater
