Cocaine is not the problem. The problem is it could have been anthrax.

At least, Trumpsters aren't running small single engine aircraft, like they did in 1993, during the beginning of the Bill Clinton era.

If Republicans can pin the bag on Hunter, it is a violation of his plea bargain agreement to be sober. Then they would want to re-open the plea deal that Hunter got recently.

I'm okay with having a rational debate over the issues. Trouble is, Trump supporters are irrational to begin with! Supporting Donald Trump is irrational, illogical and idiotic! It's hard to have a mature, measured discussion with such people, they piss me off by their very nature!

The Biden Administration deserves much more credit than it receives. The culture war, the constant Media attention surrounding Donald Trump, and the far-right Republicans, have held more attention that it deserves. The false reports of sleepy Joe, fumbling Joe, weak Joe, old Joe diminishes who he really is as a leader, and certainly diminishes the successes of the administration - the staff and leadership - he has assembled.
Even though we went through inflation, higher gas prices and egg prices, etc. We have also recovered from a two-year shut down, and an increase in job opportunities, and economic growth. We forget that the pandemic was world-wide, not just an American problem, and it takes a lot of heavy lifting to get back on track all over the Globe.
Joe has focused on manufacturing jobs, and infrastructure - something it seems Trump bragged he would do, but his administration and Congress could not manage to pass -
The media focuses on Joe's age - but he is only a few years older than Trump -
I'm still waiting to hear what Trump's administration accomplished - the only thing I recall is a progressive measure against child sex trafficking. He sure didn't build a wall and make Mexico pay for it.
We need to re-elect Joe Biden. We need to hope for changes in the Supreme Court. That's not going to happen with a Republican president in the White House, or Republican control in Congress. We need to get moving on against people like Tommy Tuberville who stands in the way of military promotions, or the radical right-wing congressional members who are literally staging sound-bites for Fox News and other conservative media outlets, instead of really doing anything of importance for this country.
Joe Biden's administration has been overshadowed by all this nonsense, while he simply keeps moving forward, ignoring the press and the fanfare that's paid to all the simpleminded drama most people seem to be addicted to these last few years.

Sorry. I meant RFK. Jr. JFK, Jr. had no drug habits, to my knowledge, and it's unlikely he was responsible for the White House baggie drop--given his long deceased condition. But Q-anon says he's a Republican now, and a big MAGA supporter. https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2021/11/02/qanon-jfk-jr-dallas/ So I wouldn't put it past him!

Not to mention the pictures I've seen of Donnie, Jr. could be worse than coke - maybe meth, and since he can afford dental, we might not know for sure

Exerpt from Heather Cox Richardson's letter from an American...
(you should read the whole thing because it carries a significant warning of the intentions of a future Trump White House)
    July 17, 2023 - by Heather Cox Richardson (substack.com)
In West Palm Beach, Florida, last weekend, at the Turning Points Action Conference, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) compared President Biden’s Build Back Better plan to President Lyndon Baines Johnson’s Great Society programs, which invested in “education, medical care, urban problems, rural poverty, transportation, Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps, and welfare, the Office of Economic Opportunity, and big labor and labor unions.” She noted that under Biden, the U.S. has made “the largest public investment in social infrastructure and environmental programs, that is actually finishing what FDR started, that LBJ expanded on, and Joe Biden is attempting to complete.”

    Well, yeah.

Greene incorrectly called this program “socialism,” which in fact means government ownership of production, as opposed to the government’s provision of benefits people cannot provide individually, a concept first put into practice in the United States by Abraham Lincoln and later expanded by leadership in both parties. The administration has stood firmly behind the idea—shared by LBJ and FDR, and also by Republicans Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, and Dwight Eisenhower, among others—that investing in programs that enable working people to prosper is the best way to strengthen the economy.

Certainly, Greene’s speech didn’t seem to be the “gotcha” that she apparently hoped. A March 2023 poll by independent health policy pollster KFF, for example, found that 80% of Americans like Social Security, 81% like Medicare, and 76% like Medicaid, a large majority of members of all political parties.

The White House Twitter account retweeted a clip of Greene’s speech, writing: “Caught us. President Biden is working to make life easier for hardworking families.”
