But sometimes,,in some situations,,you want to "leave a smaller footprint". Be covert.

not really, but i had some 'anime style' resembling drawings. it was not on purpose though, they just happen to turn out that way. but mostly i just look at something and try to make it the most realistic i can on the paper. i am not the most imaginative person there can be.

No one's perfect. We're all in the process of development. I'm a musician. I'm hard on myself. I know how that can be.

I tried drawing once. I used to doodle a lot in school, and got no further than stick-figures with pasted on noses, etc.

Then I read this book called "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain", by Betty Edwards. After a week or two of reading, I tried some of her suggestions. I started paying more attention to shapes and shadows, instead of pasting parts together, like, say, Picasso. (Not saying that Picasso was not an artist,,)

But I really saw some improvement in my drawing. I just gave it up because it was such hard work. I had a job, and couldn't spend the time.

But music comes more naturally to me.

Artists always seem to be hardest on themselves.
