umm,,i think thats all already been explained in this thread..
but i will try and elaborate..
i left home at 15 spent the better part of 7 years travelling with rainbow and living what many would consider like a "hippie",.
i settled down,,and now i live the life that many would associate with being a "hippie"..
and i suppose in some respects i do hold a lot of that labels ideals true to my heart and live it every day. but i dont claim it to be who i am,,only a small portion of me,,but enough that i felt it should be included in my screen name.. thus "hippiehillbilly" came to being..

most of the original, spontaneous Hippies from the mid 60s are gone. the 70's was mainly a parody of the 60's as far as Hippies go, just thought I'd point that out.

i remember the high hollies back from my days of going to rainbow family gatherings. most of them had little or nothing of importance to talk about at council circles. last gathering i went to, some "elders" were fighting about where the next north american annual gathering should be held at. they refused to take their arguement elsewhere or hand the feather over to anyone else. i got irritated and went elsewhere.
