i think there are exceptions,,like our resident angry old hypocrite,,but even a lot of them really dont hold true to there ideals of that time..they claim to,,then you see how they act..
like i said,,i know there are a VERY FEW,that held true through the years but they are a very small percentage..the millions upon millions that were part of the movement didnt just disappear,,they slowly got sucked into babylon and eventually became part of it..

First, there were never millions. I'd be surprised if there were a couple hundred thousand, it just seemed like more.

Second, There was never a "Hippy Movement" that was a media construct much like the word "Hippy" itself.

Third, okay let's not focus down to one person, name one person in Monkeyboy's employ that was a "Hippy" or one CEO of a major corporation who was.

Fourth, who's to say that those who sold out where ever "Hippies" in the first place?

Fifth, what have you and your generation ever done except complain that my generation didn't do more?

Sixth, Real "Hippies" are still living the good life and setting the example for others to follow, few though they may be, it's your own fault if you're not following!

oddly enough both of us have dreads as well.. and weve pretty much ran a flop house for wayward travelers,,many who called themselves "hippies" for about 15 years or so now..

sadly there are a multitude of things in our life that would lead one to associate us with that label,,but as the old hypocrite has pointed out time and time again,,im no where close to what the high holies would label as a "hippie",,a grown up crusty kid??perhaps..lol
