The 1970's song thread I started tonight is gone...poof....????? makes me wonder sometimes...makes me wonder..... anyway...i will just put this song here then. Randy died in 2004 due to leukemia. i did not realize that. I knew this song...beautiful song you gave us, Randy. I just read about him. Some of his cremains were sent into space in 2007. cool, yeah I'm into blues big time and Gary Moore really stands out with some of the most exquisite guitar playing . He's got other great stuff like Midnight Blues https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CmE8jQi278 and That's why I play the Blues https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fzg28PLqr1w in my opinion some of the greatest not just blues but guitar masterpieces, period. Enjoy!
I love this one, Paris, 1949, so finely crafted, and then there's that crazy one note he hits for like a minute in the middle! Ground-breaking guitar work. I've listened to some of their Thin Lizzy stuff and found it pretty rockin, they had some real power hard rock ballads and he'd shred quite a lot, which shows you the versatility of Gary Moore as a guitar ace. Nice post
Lynott was a real talented musician. I heard some of the work Gary Moore did later on was a tribute to Phil. I can just imagine what it was like seeing this duo live on stage together
