I think humans created the concept of God (or gods in some religions) in an attempt to explain certain things. For example, some people think it makes sense to say that "god chose to make it this way." It's kind of like saying "an apple is apple because it was made into an apple." But that's just my opinion...

We can create gods, so why couldn't we predict the future as well? Though another way of looking at it, is that all these prophesies and such being written down and well known, subconsciously affected peoples actions and as such of course happened, because people made them happen...

I am sure the Jews said to themselves well.... since the Bible says we must take Judah first (1948) and Jerusalem second (1967) ...thats how we are gonna do it..... definately not.... it was the same God that has been with them since the beginning.... the Jews are not in Israel by coincidence!

Key word "could" ....thats all you guys are are "coulds" or "maybes" ...the Jewish peoples decsions were not based of the Bible's future predictions.... The fact is the Jews desired Jerusalem, the most holy place for the Jews, but the ended up only getting Judah first-Just as the Bible predicted.

And what about the prophecy concerning Jesus and his birth in Bethlahem. How did mary and Joseph know to go to Bethlehem? It is inspiration by the God that rules even today. But the fact is most people would rather believe a lie than the truth.

Yes because all of it that stuff is so much more substantial than 'coulds' or 'maybes' Besides you cannot prove that what I suggested is completely wrong...

They only knew Jerusalem as holy because that is what they were taught, and I don't know about the whole Judah thing but, it seems like it could be either coincedence or luck. There are also alot of predictions made in the bible (or other holy documents) that have not come true, and most prophecies are worded funny so they can apply to many situations depending on how they are interpreted.

You can't prove the prophecies were made before Jesus, or anything (well most things) in the Bible (like the 300 prophecies) really, because it was written so long ago, translated many times, and might not have been true in the first place, The bible wasn't put together or studied until years and years after Jesus' time

God is actually the position and not His name although the one who holds the position is called God, his actual name may be Jehovah, YWVH, etc. It is much like the presidency where the president is called the president when he becomes elected to the office. And so when God becomes elected to the office, He is then called God but He really has a name.

And so man had to hAve come first for there to be someone to be elected to the office of God.

Jehova is a corruption of Yahweh (YHWH) and both just mean "lord"

Interesting that a parent would name their child "Lord". Anyways, when Lord was elected to the position of God, then He was called God.
