    hey foxy, beautiful, mama
    welcome and enjoy the journey
and mama even tho your only 2 weeks into the natural journey mores happen9ing then you know i bet, maybe your hair hasnt changed a whole lot yet but alots still changing inside you around you and as things change your hair will too
they say your hair holds a record of all your experiences
all you do all you go through becomes locked forever in your hair..
its typical that most of socirety never learns from past mistakes because they keep seperating themselves from lifes lessons with every trim and cut
the primal urge to dread to grow your hair and grow your wisdom comes from no longer wanting to be trapped in that cycle of repeating mistakes without learniung lessons and becomming wiser..
for me at least theres only 1 reason to ever seperate from the past, cut the record that binds us wioth all weve been through.. and thats mourning, to overcome the greif from loss when our connection to what weve experiencedd causes never ending greif and we have to cut our ties and begin aneew

sorry i went on aq rant there..lol dunno why except that its 5 am and my mind works randomly at this hour

i was just sayin hi and welcome
and sayin more is goin on then u know even in the 1st weeks of the natural journey youve at leasty began the journey, taking steps towards a distant horizoin and day by day your destination becomes more clear

Thanks for the welcome soaringeagle. You are right on the money there re my life & my hair. I have had a hard few years and am just starting to feel a little like 'me' again.....in fact I haven't felt quite like this since I was at university 10 years ago... which was the last time I did anything remotely interesting with my hair...and that happened to be one of the happiest times of my life so far. Going for dreads is definately the start of the new era for me :D

    So I'm Olivia.
    I'm oppinionated, and I'm Australian.
I am a traveller by heart, and I'm currently in the process of saving to get overseas.
I work in a travelling/outdoor adventure shop in Melbourne, an I believe in fair trade, and organic produce.
I also work at Mcdonalds. and I hate it. but I have been working there since it was legal for me to get a job 4 years ago. I'll get out of there.. soon enough. I'm all angry at them right now, for not paying me my sick leave, and not realising that thier workers rely on thier shit pay to get through the week, and that they don't have any other regular income (especially as my other job goes straight into savings)
So kiddos, Don't get a job at a mulitnational corperation. and especially don't agree to go onto a training program. Grr.

I'm going to go to the UK, Italy and Israel. Some incredible dreadlocks in Israel, let me tell you! for example :

hair of win: volume 1, edition 1 >

In this wonderful picture at 1 week old you can clearly see how the mass of slightly funky hair has rapidly taken over my face area leaving nothing but a mass of coolness.

backcombed to start and then left alone :)
