well hi :) I've been hanging around here for a long time, only haven't introduced myself yet. my name is puppy, I'm in the middle of the natural dread journey. okay, more at the beginning. my hair is at most 7 or 8 cm long, and I haven't brushed it in 16 months (although in between I did cut it twice in a weird state of mind) so far I've got nothing I could call dreads, but I do have some tangles and I feel all around good so :) I like this site, you all seem very kind and very wise. blessings!

after my friend and I bleached our hair out of pure boredom. You can't really see my dreads that well, and my hair is still all wet in these pictures, but whatever.

Saluton. I have finally upgraded my status from lurker to poster, so hello everyone!

I started on the road to dreadlocks about 7 months ago (I went for back combing if anyone's interested...), they're coming along nicely after much TLC and are kind of starting to feel like actual dreadlocks, not just a collection of unkempt hairs. There may even be some sort of pictures at some point if I can get round to it...

I've become obsessed with everything about dreadlocks lately, this forum seems like a fantastic place to learn even more about them! Fantastic.

    Rave it up all!

Oh, hello. I'm pretty new around here, as you can tell...

Well, I used to have dreads but since they weren't completely of my liking at the time, I took them out. But I still have the bottom half of my hair dreaded, and I'm planning on dreading again once my hair grows a bit more.

I've had the few dreads that I do have for a year and a half.

    :]

Hola everyone :) I've been lurking around a bit over the past month or so and finally decided I would say hi!
I started my Dreads in November, then sometime around February I joined a bunch of them together because they were too thin. I'll get some pictures up as soon as I can.

    Manny, what's up my brutha!?

Hello people, I wandered over into this forum from KnottyLocks and I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Byron and my locks started growing on me about 3 months ago. Several years ago I was sucked into the KnottyBoy scam, backcombed/waxed and all that, ended up cutting after about a month. But now I have decided to go natural and loving every minute of the journey!

Here is one pic from a couple weeks ago, I will probably take some new pics in a few days and post em up.

Hey everyone, well this is my second set. As so many others i got sucked into DHHQ and I cut after about a year and 1/2. it's been three years since then and I decided it's time. I did some backcombing about 2 1/2 weeks ago and now I am just letting them do their thang.

Hey everyone. I'm Celise, originally from Morganton, North Carolina. I now live in Canada though.
I found this forum by going in a google search for Dreadlock Forums. Shocking! I know.
I came mostly looking for tips for maintenance, as I have had trouble keeping some of mine rounded and stuff of that nature.

I originally wanted to lock up because a couple of my greatest influences had dreads, Jessicka Fodera (lead singer from Jack off Jill and Scarling) and Daniel Lioneye (lead guitarist from HIM). But I noticed afterward how much different I felt with dreads, and how much of a spiritual thing it is.

Anyway, I do have a few other hobbies besides locking up. I've been playing guitar for about 6 years, I'm a huge comic book nerd and I love gaming. Into tattoos and some piercings as well.

I've had dreads before but like an idiot cut themoff :( So starting again! any hints to keep them looking together is palmrolling really needed? I used to just play with them and they were fine soo any thing new I can pick up? Thanks for all the hints and lets keep the knottieness going!!!

    Hello,

I'm new here. I was actually looking up crochet patterns for hats for my dreads and stumbled upon this site. And now I am a member! I've had my dreads for a few weeks now...love 'em. It will be nice to chat to you all!

    Love and Light,
    Lanie
