*clears throat and nervously stands up*

Hi kids, I'm Leah from Australia. I guess I've had my dreadlings for about a year now. I think they're starting to look good but I wish they would hurry up and grow. :) They're really tight and I think they're a nice size. Pitty there's not heaps of them, you can see my scalp really easily at the back. No worries. I think the growing of dreadies is a journey of spirituality, your mind and your soul.

I'll have to get my camera fixed and get a recent foto for you dready kids.

I'm 16 and i have dreads down to about 2 inches past my shoulders, they are all different thicknesses but really tight now :) They used to be red and black but I recently dyed them back to blonde (my natural colour) and bright blue underneath. I got them about 6 months ago and every time the head teacher at school saw me she took me to her office and gave me a lecture on my appearance and told me to shave my head... lame... but now I've left forever and my dreads survived the ordeal :)

Hi I'm Annie from Australia. I got dreads in March '07, so they are about 15 weeks old now. Here they are:

I backcombed them and put some extensions in too. It took my mum about 5 days to do them, but she did an awesome job! I started with very fine, straight hair.

This forum is great... I've already learned a lot [IMG]

Hi everyone :D I have had my dreads for about 3 months, they are back-combed, although I want them to become as natural as possible over time, (that sounds like a contridiction of the term natural, I just mean once they grow as dreads I'll be happy :D)

loving them so far, even all the hard work!
    photo on it's way...
