Hey good luck, and good vibes! I bat your dreads will turn out awesome. I remember when I first got my dreads, I was so worried, so learn from my mistakes and stay chill. Remember to trust your hair, it knows what its doing !

 

Normally I lose interest in long running threads after a while but this is one of the few I keep checking, some more nice dreads on display!

Yeeeah man!!! There you go! Got them made yesterday!! GOD it feels great, I've been crazy about dreads for a couple of years now so it's pretty unreal to actually have them on myself... Altough it's still pretty damn uncomfortable to have them pointing in all directions, I could barely sleep last night! But you gotta go through travail for something beutiful to be born, right? I'm going to take good care of them for sure, so they should be looking awesome at least by summer!

Ginger Ali, those look great, man! They suit you really well. If I can offer any advice, it'd be... LEAVE THEM BE!!! Learn from my mistake man, hahaha. When I first got mine, I did all sorts of stupid fooling around, cutting this and that, etc. etc. Just let them be, and let them do their own thing. Palm rolling/rubbing is a good idea, but other than that, they know what they're doing.

Thanks friends, I'm happy about the encouragement! Must say I do look forward to them getting a life of their own, until now they've been just passive and stiff and all... But we're already becoming friends and even my new identity as the odd dreaddie-guy (trust me, there's NOT many around where I live) is beginnig to feel pretty established. Plus my baby daughter is highly amused by them!
