Yeah if I can get mine long enough I wanna be the first to pioneer that. Get my name in the record books ya know....
Yeah, me too. And I also have lots of really tiny ones, which pisses me off sometimes, but they're all unique and different.
all this talk about dreading other hair on your body... here´s a pic for you all: can you guess where this came from? (and no, it wasnt from my head) actually, i´ll just tell you. my armpit. the only reason i didnt leave it there was because it was going to fall out.
just found this on wikipedia: link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polish_plait and here´s an example. yikes!
wow what a crazy bit of info there...well reserched & what a weird find...DISEASE! eeekkk....ive got some organic lark spur tinture which is perfect for dreads & kill lice & eggs in 4 hrs....so you will never end up with a mankey pollish plait! Huurray!
So tell me more about lark spur tinture and where I might find it. We always thought that rubbing alcohol was the best way.
speaking of dreadlocks...d'oh mine have gone angry...i'm gonna cut em off and start again at easter..
If thats what they look like in that picture you have displayed then you should hold on a little longer. They're going to look terrible for about a month or so (maybe a little longer) but they do tighten up. Mine looked just like that if not crazier but in time you are rewarded for your patience. just a suggestion.
To add on to what Sprout said... If you're feeling a little self conscious right now or uncomfortable, then wear bandanas over them, or a wool hat (if you live in a cold climate)...they will hide them well enough and if you go with the wool hat, you're actually doing them a little good... Just a suggestion. Give it time. Dreads teach you patience and humility. Embrace it.
I sell it here, not sure if you can get it in the US Delact is the brand name look it up...does that work? rubbing alcohol.....
yes rubbing alcohal works but you have to be careful not to get it in your eyes, you have to leave it on for 30 minutes and tie a plastic bag over your head to trap the fumes.... ...not fun. So organic solutions sound great to me.
if you put just straight lemon juice in your hair, will that bleach it fine in the sun or will it do crazy things?
