Lewandowski Confirms Trump Asked Him to Help Curtail Mueller Inquiry: Live Updates

Lewandowski Confirms Trump Asked Him to Help Curtail Mueller Inquiry: Live Updates

    excerpt:

"And within moments of Mr. Lewandowski’s first refusal to answer Mr. Nadler’s questions about his conversations with the president, Mr. Trump tweeted his appreciation for “such a beautiful opening statement.”
The White House ordered two other former senior officials not to show up.

The witness table at Tuesday’s hearing was supposed to be a good deal more crowded. Democrats had issued subpoenas for Mr. Dearborn and Rob Porter, the former White House staff secretary, to appear with Mr. Lewandowski.

But on Monday, the White House counsel, Pat A. Cipollone, told the committee that Mr. Trump had directed both men not to show up because they were “absolutely immune” from congressional subpoenas as former senior presidential advisers. Mr. Nadler called the White House’s position “a shocking and dangerous assertion of executive privilege and absolute immunity.”"

Trump says a trade deal with China might not happen until after the 2020 elections | Markets Insider

    excerpt:

"President Donald Trump dimmed hopes for an imminent detente with China on Tuesday, telling reporters a trade deal might not happen until after the 2020 elections.

Deputy-level meetings are scheduled to begin on Thursday in Washington, according to a top US Trade Representative official. The meetings are meant to pave the way for higher-level negotiations, but the two sides remain divided on key issues.

"If it's after the election, it'll be a deal like you've never seen," Trump said aboard Air Force One. "It'll be the greatest deal ever, and China knows that. They think I'm going to win. China thinks I'm going to win so easily. And they're concerned because I told them, if it's after the election it's going to be far worse than what it is right now.""

Trump to revoke California's tailpipe waiver

Trump to revoke California's tailpipe waiver

    excerpt:

"It would come as Trump is fundraising in California, a state that has been a hotbed of resistance to his administration where Hillary Clinton won more than four million more votes than the president in the 2016 election.

The announcement indicates the White House is moving ahead with plans to split its auto emissions rule into two parts, a move seen as a way to speed up the process of finalizing the hotly debated deregulation.

The first section of the rule formally revokes California’s preemption and waiver under the Clean Air Act, according to two sources with knowledge of the regulation.

The rule could be finalized within a week.

Removal of the waiver would affect 13 additional states that also follow California’s clean air rules.

It’s expected to quickly be challenged in court."

Donald Duck knows damned well he is confronting the same KKK leaders that bent over and greased their ass for him, only after he won the nomination. Congress can try to impeach him, and he can call them all corrupt and the republican party leaders will lose support among their base if they don't basically grant him more of the privileges of a tyrant. Fuck em all, either congress still has a spine and something vaguely resembling the interest of the people at heart, or they are a marriage made in hell.

Passages from the King Trump Bible

    youtube comedy video:

"It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into heaven. I will build a needle, so world class, a herd of camels could get through it and I will make God pay for it."

Until recently, 40% of the country treated him like a God, approving of anything he did, and the idea a tyrant can't get whatever the fuck he wants is a contradiction in terms. Bill Maher sold himself down the river, making a living telling jokes that implied we still have a democracy.

Robert Jeffress has an apology for just about everything critical that could ever be said about Trump.

    Trump’s Apostle
No matter how incendiary his latest tweet or policy might seem, Donald Trump can count on evangelical preacher and Fox News fixture Robert Jeffress to defend him. What’s behind the Dallas pastor’s unconditional embrace?

Well, I think he knows more about financial crime than a lot of others. Maybe we should ask Madoff if he is jealous?

I thought Republicans supported state's rights? Shouldn't a state be allowed to set its own clean air standards? I'm confused...what do Republicans believe in again?

Trump is now complaining about Homeless People in California. He said they are in our streets, and in the entrances to our buildings. He is suggesting that they should be arrested and removed by the police. One California newspaper wrote about it and wondered aloud where Trump thinks he gets the authority to arrest Homeless persons for the crime of being Homeless. Such law enforcement is done at the local level, not by the federal government. The function of the federal government had been at the HUD level and with funding; however, Trump's appointee Carson has refused to help Poor and Homeless people. He has been spending his agency money on expensive furniture and travel to nice trendy places.

I said nothing about Libertarians, plus I don't believe a fucking word of what anyone in politics says. My question was rhetorical.
