In a similar matter, Gov. Rick Scott of Florida has refused to recuse himself in the election vote counting process involving his U.S. Senate race. As governor, Scott has the power to oversee elections.

Scott has tried unsuccessfully to have the police confiscate voting apparatus in Florida while the votes are still being counted, claiming voter fraud without providing evidence (similar to Trump).

The votes that Trump has claimed came out of nowhere involve overseas votes which comprise military votes. Trump snubbed the military with his remarks on Twitter.

Trump also snubbed veterans by not showing up at Veterans Day ceremonies in the U.S. on Monday after coming home from a trip to France where he failed to attend an event at an American troop cemetery, apparently because of rain. While in France he showed up at a later event that was attended by Putin.

Lawsuits mount over Florida recount battle as political acrimony deepens

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...ory.html?noredirect=on&utm_term=.c1feb3534a52

    excerpts:

"Rebuffing Scott’s campaign, state Judge Jack Tuter ruled against the governor’s request to have local sheriffs seize ballots and machines in Broward County not in use in the recount. Tuter said that there was no evidence of voter fraud and that Brenda Snipes, the county election supervisor, needs to be allowed to do her job and finish the count.

Scott’s “misuse of his official powers in favor of his own candidacy demonstrates the truth of the axiom that no man may be the judge in his own cause,” the lawsuit stated.

The suit echoes Nelson’s call earlier Monday for Scott to recuse himself from the recount. “He’s thrown around words like voter fraud without any proof,” Nelson said."

Kyrsten Sinema, bisexual ex-Green Party member is now new U.S. Democrat Senator from Arizona--the first female Senator from that state. As the Donald would say, this is HUGE!

Democrat Kyrsten Sinema Wins Arizona Senate Race, Flipping Second GOP Seat

    excerpt:

"Democrat Kyrsten Sinema has defeated Republican Martha McSally to win the Arizona Senate race, the Associated Press projected Monday evening.

With Sinema's victory to flip the open seat of retiring GOP Sen. Jeff Flake, she becomes the first Democrat Arizona has elected to the Senate since 1988. She will not only be the state's first female senator but will also be the first openly bisexual senator in U.S. history.

Shortly after the race was called in her favor, Sinema wrote on Twitter that she will "be an independent voice for all Arizonans."

McSally also posted a video saying she had called Sinema to congratulate her."

I was thinking Arizona could be turned blue. (1) There are lots of retired people living there and they rely on Social Security and Medicare. (2) There are lots of Spanish speaking people who are very tired of Trump's mouth. (3) There are lots of Native Americans who care about their homeland. (4) There is a large Iraqi American population in the bigger cities and they are starting to vote, and they've been listening to Trump's mouth when it flaps about immigrants.

Trump's appointee John Bolton is saying the Turkish audio tape of Khashoggi's murder does not prove Mohammad Bin Salman is guilty. Trump's White House is going all in on covering up the murder of a journalist.

CNN is suing Trump and his top aides for barring Jim Acosta.
During his campaign Trump said he would not bar reporters from the White House...another lie kept.
    And last Friday he said:
He then named and insulted April Ryan, another CNN corespondent..

On the tape one man is heard calling an aide to Mohammad Bin Salman and telling him to report to his boss that the deed is done.

Trump attacks France...again. France is one of our greatest allies, if it wasn't for France there would be no United States.

Reckon I've made enough comments about trump. At least on the sites that I found out this morning that my presence is no longer wanted/tolerated. Pretty funny--every time I post on a fox site---gone in 3 seconds!! Assholes can dish it , but cannot take it. And of course I'm always polite.

Yes, and there is a Middle Eastern paper saying the tape indicates Jamal had a bag placed over his head from behind, as soon as he walked in. He asked why they placed the bag/sack over his head. The dialog is in Arabic, but clear. The truth is not far from the light now! And it sure looks like the Trump Administration is looking for a way to protect MBS because he has lots and lots of cash!

Close Elections: Fla. Judge Calls Out Fraud 'Rhetoric'; Georgia Nears Deadline

Close Elections: Fla. Judge Calls Out Fraud 'Rhetoric'; Georgia Nears Deadline

    excerpt:

"With Republicans leading in both the Senate and gubernatorial races, both contests are within the 0.5 percent margin that mandates a statewide recount. Many of the outstanding ballots could be from overseas military personnel, who can have their ballots counted as long as they arrive by Friday and were postmarked by Nov. 6, and it's hardly unusual for votes in many states to be counted after Election Day."

    Conspiracy rhetoric by Trump:

The Florida Election should be called in favor of Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis in that large numbers of new ballots showed up out of nowhere, and many ballots are missing or forged. An honest vote count is no longer possible-ballots massively infected. Must go with Election Night!

Trump and Fox went quiet about the migrant caravan. He also went quiet about the tax cut he promised to give the middle class right before the midterm election.

Trump is now focused on trying to manipulate state election ballot counting using truther rhetoric, firing more people in his administration, and monitoring the weather forecasts to avoid events like the one for U.S. veterans in France and at Arlington National Cemetery on Veterans Day that he didn't attend.

Remember the caravan? After vote, focus on migrants fades

Remember the caravan? After vote, focus on migrants fades

    excerpt:

"Fox News spent more than 33 hours discussing the caravan through Election Day, according to a study by Media Matters, a progressive media watchdog organization. On Nov. 7, the day after the election, Fox had no discussions centered on the caravan. On Nov. 8, the network spent four minutes and 57 seconds on discussions centered on the caravan, according to the study."

Kellyanne Conway Just Admitted That the Jim Acosta Video Was Edited
"That's not altered, that's just sped up."
    By Gabrielle Bruney

Kellyanne Conway Just Admitted That the Jim Acosta Video Was Edited

    excerpt:

"Kellyanne Conway admitted to Fox News’s Chris Wallace Sunday that the Jim Acosta video tweeted by White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was, in fact, doctored. And in doing, so she coined another phrase that, though not as catchy as "alternative facts," is just as Orwellian.

"That’s not altered, that’s sped up," said Conway of the video, "They do it all the time in sports to see if there’s a first down or a touchdown. I have to disagree with, I think, the overwrought description of this video being doctored."

Conway's statement is mind-boggling on a couple of counts. For one, speeding something up almost certainly falls under the definition of altering it. And sports analysts don’t usually speed up the action to get a clearer look at it—slowing things down tends to offer a more detailed look."

The act of the White House using a video clip from a conspiracy-truther site like Infowars to try to justify confiscating a press badge is going to raise suspicions regardless of whether the alteration of the video was intentional or a result of spurious artifact caused by compression, zooming, and file format changes.

The White House could have simply shown the original video or it could do its own editing in a way that isn't prone to generating artifacts. Instead, it used a lazy approach of taking a video from a highly dubious website.

There is also the issue of editing a video and promoting it because the artifact that happened to be produced by serendipity gave the desired effect, even though the video may not have been explicitly edited to try to produce such an effect, such as the editor removing and adding frames.

The White House’s Acosta Video Looks Different From the Original. Does That Mean It’s “Doctored”?

The White House’s Acosta Video Looks Different From the Original. Does That Mean It’s “Doctored”?

    excerpt:

Is it possible compression and format changes explain the difference between the clips? It is, and some have argued that is likely what happened. I remain skeptical. But as of yet, there is no real evidence anyone altered the video intentionally. Sanders was clearly trying to justify Acosta’s suspension by sharing the video, and the version she tweeted out appears more dramatic than the original C-SPAN clip, so it no doubt served her needs. It’s also disturbing that Sanders would use her platform to send out a video created by someone who works for Infowars. That should be something we can all agree on, even if you don’t think the video was intentionally doctored.
