Trump finally confirmed in public this week that he used the term 'shithole countries' at a private meeting in 2018.

Trump veers off-script and does little to calm Republican nerves

    excerpt:

His comments on immigration Tuesday night, particularly on refugees from "third world" countries, were some of the most caustic. He called Somalia "about the worst country in the world" and mocked the "little turban" worn by Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, a Somali immigrant and naturalised US citizen.

"Throw her the hell out," he said. "She does nothing but complain."

He also confirmed a 2018 report that he called Haiti and African nations "shithole countries" during an Oval Office meeting with congressional leaders. At the time, the report prompted a major backlash and Trump said "this was not the language I used".

On Tuesday night, he was explicit.

"We had a meeting and I said, 'Why is it we only take people from shithole countries', right?" he said. "Why can't we have some people from Norway, Sweden?"

Trump veers off-script and does little to calm Republican nerves

    excerpt:

He said Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, who he called "Susie Trump", had instructed him to focus on the economy.

He complained about his advisers not wanting him to talk about border security – which he talked about anyway.

"I haven't read practically anything off the stupid teleprompter," Trump said about an hour into his speech.

During the G.W. Bush administration the WMD was alleged chemical weapons of Saddam and Bush wanted the military to commandeer Iraq's oil.

This time the WMD is alleged fentanyl and Trump is using the mlitary to control the oil in Venezuela, the largest known reserves in the world.

Trump's supporters thought he would dispose of the Deep State and do what's in the interest of the common man. They still haven't given up on him yet.

In 2016 Hillary was deemed to be the epitomy of the Deep State, the supposed coveted and protected system maintained by unseen forces who selected Trump to run against her so that she could win the presidential election.

That narrative doesn't sound good anymore.

Now Trump is the Deep State with rows of ulta-billionaires standing behind him during his oath of office for his second term and Musk, the richest man on the planet, in the White House rummaging through the private files of Americans.

It's so blatant that it took the enjoyment out of truth narratives.

It can argued that In the past the ultra-billionaires had some 'decency' in being sneaky about their support for particular candidates .

When Trump was running against Hillary during the 2016 presidential campaign, one of the truth narratives was that Trump installed as a distraction by unseen powers so that the GOP would lose and Hillary would become president.

    That narrative didn't pan out.

Now that he's been elected for two terms, the narrative is that Trump was meant to be president all along because he's the perfect dupe to be manipulated by the shadowy powers (the ones that were there to put Hillary in power).

Donald Trump’s race for the White House: A conspiracy?
There are more than a few Republicans who believe his campaign is geared at simply clearing a path for Hillary Clinton.

Another narrative: The push to install Hillary was just a ruse by the unseen powers to trick Americans into thinking that the unseen powers wanted Hillary in power so that the unseen powers could actually put Trump in office.

A Democratic mayor for Miami is not just Trump backlash – it’s a seismic shift

    excerpt:

“And that is going to continue, unfortunately, as our communities continue to suffer under these policies, where they’re seeing their family members being shipped away to state-run detention facilities, where the state is enforcing federal immigration law and draconian, indiscriminate ICE raids and detentions that affect every single one of us in this community.”

A Democratic mayor for Miami is not just Trump backlash – it’s a seismic shift

    excerpt:

"Higgins won the run-off with almost 60% of the vote, according to preliminary results reported Wednesday by the Miami Herald. More than just further evidence of a growing national backlash against Trump’s policies on the national stage, particularly immigration, her win has reset Miami’s political landscape in a manner not seen in some ways in 28 years, and in others not at all.

Higgins is the first woman to hold the office; the first Democrat to win it in 28 years; and the first non-Hispanic candidate since the 1990s. As if to bookend neatly the passing back of the Republican torch, the outgoing incumbent, Francis Suarez, is the son of the most recent Democratic Miami mayor, Xavier Suarez, who was elected in 1997."

The Trump administration lied that the deportees were dangerous, violent criminals and deported them to a maximum security prison in Africa.

A court ruled that Trump presented no valid argument as to why Garcia should be deported to Africa or even keep him in dentention indefinitely. Trump was forced to release Garcia.

Trump says CNN should be sold.

    https://www.nytimes.com/live/2025/12/10/us/trump-news

    excerpt:

President Trump said he would be “probably involved” in talks over a potential sale of CNN, a news outlet owned by Warner Bros. Discovery that the president has attacked repeatedly because of coverage that he sees as unfavorable.

“I think CNN should be sold,” Trump said. “Because the people that are running CNN right now are either corrupt or incompetent.”
