Zelensky has changed his mind and has surrendered to Musk and Trump.

Zelensky surrenders to Trump and 'will sign mineral deal within hours' | Daily Mail Online

    excerpt:

"It's a staggering surrender from Zelensky, who had said just days earlier: 'I defend Ukraine, I can't sell our country.'

Zelensky said on Friday that officials from his country and the U.S. were working on concluding an economic deal to ensure that the accord worked and was fair to Kyiv.

'We're signing an agreement, hopefully in the next fairly short period of time,' Trump told reporters in the Oval Office when asked about a deal for Ukraine's minerals."

    Trump will fix it.

Alarm as bird flu now ‘endemic in cows’ while Trump cuts staff and funding

    excerpt:

"A newer variant of H5N1 bird flu has spilled over into dairy cows separately in Nevada and Arizona, prompting new theories about how the virus is spread and leading to questions about containing the ongoing outbreaks.

The news comes amid a purge of experts at federal agencies, including employees who were responding to the highly pathogenic avian influenza outbreak at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the US Department of Agriculture.

The additional spillovers are changing experts’ view of how rare introductions to herds may be – with implications for how to prevent such spread.

“It’s endemic in cows now. There is no way this is going to get contained” on its own, said Seema Lakdawala, an influenza virologist and co-director of the Center for Transmission of Airborne Pathogens at Emory School of Medicine."

Trump says Lutnick has good instinct.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2025/02/20/trump-usps-takeover-dejoy/

    excerpt:

“This is a somewhat regal approach that says the king knows better than his subjects and he will do his best for them. But it also removes any sense that there’s oversight, impartiality and fairness and that some states wouldn’t be treated better than other states or cities better than other cities,” said James O’Rourke, who studies the Postal Service at the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business. “The anxiety over the Postal Service is not only three-quarters of a million workers. It’s that this is something that does not belong to the president or the White House. It belongs to the American people.”

Trump has shut down the National Law Enforcement Accountability Database which was used to track officers with criminal convictions and misconduct.

    https://www.scrippsnews.com/us-news...riminal-justice-changes-announces-pardon-czar

    excerpt:

"Many other criminal justice changes have been taking effect since President Trump took office in January, including the shutdown of the National Law Enforcement Accountability Database, as first reported by the Washington Post.

The database, which kept nearly 5,000 records of misconduct related to federal law enforcement officials, initially launched in 2023 under President Joe Biden but was decommissioned when President Trump revoked the former President's executive order.

According to a statement on a Department of Justice Bureau of Justice Statistics website, "agencies can no longer query or add data to the (database). The U.S. Department of Justice is decommissioning the (National Law Enforcement Accountability Database) in accordance with federal standards."

The database tracked federal law enforcement officers with criminal convictions and terminations related to misconduct as well as officers who resigned or retired under investigation. The database also kept information about commendations and awards."

Trump's version is the collection of groups such as the Proud Boys involved in his insurrection at the Capitol to intimidate members of Congress into not certifying Biden's win.

Hegseth has fired Admiral Lisa Franchetti, the first female Chief of Naval Operations.

Trump has fired Gen. Charles Q. Brown Jr. who was only the second African-American to be chairman of the Joint Chiefs.

    https://www.cnn.com/2025/02/17/entertainment/julianne-moore-book-removed/index.html

    excerpt:

"The book, published in 2007, is the first in a series of semi-autobiographical stories by Moore about Freckleface Strawberry, a 7-year-old girl “who’s learning to love the skin she’s in,” according to the series’ website.

The young girl learns to accept her freckles because “the things that make you different also make you YOU.”

The story is based on the childhood experience of Moore, who says she had the nickname Freckleface Strawberry because of her own freckles and distinctive red hair."

    excerpt:

It comes as the Department of Defense is conducting a “compliance review” of learning materials in its school system serving military families worldwide to see if they adhere to two executive orders signed by President Donald Trump regarding “gender ideology” and “racial indoctrination,” according to the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA), the division that oversees the schools.

“As part of the review, books potentially related to gender ideology or discriminatory equity ideology topics as defined in the Executive Orders will be relocated to the professional staff collection for evaluation,” DoDEA spokesperson Will Griffin said in a statement provided to CNN Monday. “During this period, access will be limited to professional staff.”

If Trump wants to ban that book, he will likely ban Dr. Seuss books such as 'Horton Hears A Who!' for endorsing inclusion. In Trump's mind, it's discrimminatory to try to stop disrimmination of small people.

Horton: "No! I can't give it to you! There are people on this speck. Granted, they're very small people. But a person's a person. No matter how small."

Federal judge blocks Trump's action on DEI as arbitrary and discriminatory.

    https://www.politico.com/news/2025/...cks-trump-administration-dei-funding-00205585

    excerpt:

"U.S. District Judge Adam Abelson ruled that Trump’s policy likely violates the First Amendment because it penalizes private organizations based on their viewpoints. And the judge said the policy is written so vaguely that it chills the free speech of federal contractors concerned they will be punished if they don’t eliminate programs meant to encourage a diverse workforce."

Musk and Trump are increasing costs and decreasing efficiency by ordering federal workers back to buildings that can't accommodate the workers..

Trump's main excuse is that he thinks workers will be playing golf instead of working if they are working remotely.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2025/02/05/trump-federal-return-to-office-telework-space/

    excerpt:

An IT worker at the Department of Veterans Affairs, who was hired to work remotely, predicted the agency would have to spend a lot of money to lease new space and buy office equipment to accommodate the staff, many of whom have long been remote.

“There really are no benefits, considering we’re a national workforce,” the employee said about forcing everyone to report to VA medical centers and other offices. “You are virtually teleworking from a federal space. That’s all you’re doing. Likely, you will not be sitting next to anyone you work with or even know.”

Disability Under Trump’s Anti-DEI Agenda - Non Profit News | Nonprofit Quarterly

    excerpt:

"What could have an even more devasting impact on the members of the federal workforce who have disabilities is another of Trump’s demands: that people return to in-person work. Washington, DC, news channel NBC4 reported on massive traffic backups as 17,000 people tried to report to work at Washington Navy Yard, a base with a parking lot that only fits 4,000 cars."

Patel says that what he publicly referred to as his 'enemies list' isn't really an enemies list.

    https://www.cnn.com/2025/02/20/politics/senate-patel-confirmation-vote/index.html

    excerpt:

They raised concerns about what they called an “enemies list,” from Patel’s 2023 book, “Government Gangsters.” CNN has reported that some of the 60 officials on that list are taking drastic steps to protect their families, fearing that Patel will weaponize his FBI powers.

“I have no interest, no desire, and will not, if confirmed, go backwards,” Patel said. “There will be no politicization at the FBI. There will be no retributive actions taken … should I be confirmed as the FBI director.”

He later said, “It’s not an enemies list – that is a total mischaracterization.”

    You shouldn’t think that way.

It’s a very honorable thing and becoming less popular as patriotism wanes as well. At least real patriotism, not the dick swinging, armchair patriotism so popular today.
