Another four years of Trump's rampant bullying with Melania riding piggyback on him with her anti-bullying crusade sign (Trump's face with a red circle-slash over it).

It's material for a political cartoon.

Melania's mentality is similar to Matt Gaetz who praised his party of 'law and order'. A cartoon shows him riding a tree trunk on wheels that crashes through the door of the private Congressional hearings about Trump's scheme to coerce Ukraine into running a public smear campaign on Biden by withholding U.S. government taxpayer aid money. That incident was a forerunner to Trump's riot at the Capitol.

Trump has managed to convince at least some people (enough to be reelected) that the poor or perceived poor performance of particular aspects of the current economy are due to Biden and that the good attributes are because people expected Trump to be reelected.

When he's in his second term, Trump will convince people that all the good attributes are due to him and that the bad ones are due to Biden, and maybe enough so that JD Vance is elected president in 2028.

Trump is furious about the release of Jack Smith's report about him.

Trump ranted about wanting Durham to release an 'interim' report about his investigation of the investigators in the weeks leading up to the 2020 election to try to compromise Biden.

Durham came up empty with his investigation that lasted years.

For the the release of a final report of two federal criminal investigations of Trump, he doesn't want them released at all, even after the election.

Unlike Durham, Jack Smith's investigations didn't come up empty. They resulted in criminal charges against Trump by a grand jury for the election subversion and for the documents case..

Trump's post-election American expansionism rhetoric is reminiscent of the post-9/11 years of the U.S. taking over Iraq and Afganistan. His rhetoric sounds similar to that of chiicken-hawk Bolton. Bolton and Trump parted ways during his first term.

Trump railed against such government behavior during the 2016 campaign. But now he is promoting expansionism on the Americas side of the globe.

    https://www.euronews.com/culture/2025/01/13/who-will-perform-at-donald-trumps-inauguration

    excerpt:

"It was a headache for him in the past, as he struggled to secure top-tier talent for his first inauguration. While his team has denied this, several artists have publicly stated that they were asked to perform in 2017 but declined. These included Elton John, 2Chainz, The Beach Boys, Charlotte Church and Céline Dion. Trump ended up getting a handful of has-beens and bands who peaked in the early 2000s, including country singer Toby Keith, rock band 3 Doors Down and the musical group The Piano Guys.

Considering past inaugurations featured the likes of Aretha Franklin, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Yo-Yo Ma, Stevie Wonder and John Legend, Trump’s line-up was hardly awe-inspiring. And he’ll be facing the same conundrum this year."

Trump's return puts Medicaid on the chopping block

    excerpt:

"Republicans in Washington say they plan to use funding cuts and regulatory changes to dramatically shrink Medicaid, the nearly $900-billion-a-year government health insurance program that, along with the related Children's Health Insurance Program, serves about 79 million mostly low-income or disabled Americans.

The proposals include rolling back the Affordable Care Act's expansion of Medicaid, which over the last 11 years added about 20 million low-income adults to its rolls. Trump has said he wants to drastically cut government spending, which may be necessary for Republicans to extend 2017 tax cuts that expire at the end of this year.

Trump made little mention of Medicaid during the 2024 campaign. The first Trump administration approved work requirements in several states, though only Arkansas implemented theirs before a federal judge said it violated the law. The first Trump administration also sought to block grant funding to states."

Reciprocally, the Village People could give Trump a high-level position in their group.

Trump has a self-parody personal image. Like the other members of the Village People (construction worker, traffic cop, etc.), Trump could take his place as the symbolic lying, unethical, criminal politician and dance on stage with his overly long red tie and orange hairdo and skin.

The way it's looking, Trump may actually perform with the Village People on stage at his inauguration and party and do his silly hand dance.

    He's obsessed with that group.

Smith reports that Trump likely would have been convicted had he not been reelected.

The documents case was deemed by many in the legal community to be an open-shut case against Trump. Judge Cannon's role of playing interference for him bogged the case until the 2024 election which saved Trump.

Pence got his way. Pence said that the American voters should be the ones to hold Trump accountable, implying that the justice system shouldn't. That's quite a mindset for Pence to take considering he could have been injured or killed at the Capitol by Trump and his rioters.

Are The Village People trump supporters? Or are they trolling him by performing their very obviously gay man's anthem at his inauguration?

Trump should invite the Village People to perform at a big time wrestling match.

After the 2024 election, Trump attended a wrestling match with Kid Rock and Elon Musk. YMCA playing in the background would have given the event a nice touch.

Speaker Johnson talks like he will hold CA hostage on aid for wildfires.

Mike Johnson Vows to Hold Aid to California Hostage After Deadly Fires

    excerpt:

“It appears to us that state and local leaders were derelict in their duty in many respects, so that’s something that has to be factored in. I think there should probably be conditions on that aid.”

‘Not Hearing an Answer’: Hegseth Refuses to Commit to Resigning if He Drinks on the Job

    excerpt:

“Will you resign as Secretary of Defense if you drink on the job?” the Democrat senator again asked.

“I’ve made this commitment on behalf of the men and women I’m serving because it’s the most important deployment of my life,” Hegseth repeated.

“I’m not hearing an answer to my questions,” Hirono said. “While you have made that commitment, you will not commit to resigning if you drink on the job.”

Hirono referenced reports from The New Yorker and NBC News that Hegseth had a history of drinking heavily at work while the president of a veteran’s advocacy group and that his drinking habits affected his job as a Fox News morning host.

All this fuss about Hegseth's drinking, as if his confirmation should hinge on it. And if only he can be made to say he will stop drinking, then he can be in charge of the entire U.S. military.

Hegseth is woefully unqualified for the job. That fact is sufficient for the Senate to reject him.

Like how Trump will be sworn into office by 'I like beer' Kavanaugh on inauguration day, if Hegseth somehow is confirmed by the Senate, he too can take an oath by placing his hand on a six-pack of beer.

    https://www.politico.com/news/magaz...tary-immigration-domestic-deployment-00195609

    excerpt:

“The basic reality is that the Insurrection Act gives the president dangerously broad discretion to use the military as a domestic police force,” says Joseph Nunn, an expert at the Brennan Center for Justice. “It’s an extraordinarily broad law that has no meaningful criteria in it for determining when it’s appropriate for the president to deploy the military domestically.” Nothing in the text of the Insurrection Act says the president must cite insurrection, rebellion, or domestic violence to justify deployment; the language is so vague that Trump could potentially claim only that he perceives a “conspiracy.”
