At Carter's funeral, it looked like Trump was talking much more to Obama sitting next to him than his wife Melania on the other side.

    Melania looked very bored.

She did look bored, but then she usually does.

Pence’s wife didn’t look bored at all as she conspicuously snubbed Trump’s attempt to greet her.

I think Biden should put a tack on the chair in the oval office. LOL

It least Melania actually showed up and was sitting next to Trump and not Elonia (Elon Musk) or Melonia (prime minister Meloni of Italy who is known for her neo-fascism and budding relationships with Trump and Musk).

Meloni says she plans to attend Trump's inauguration.

Leaders of countries usually don't attend U.S. presidential inaugurations but rather send a representative.

That would hurt Musk's rear end.

‘Orange Idiot’: Actor Forced to Flee Wildfire Tears Into Trump on CNN

    excerpts:

“It’s the price we pay for living in this beautiful area,” he said. “California’s a fantastic state. It’s one of the most productive states in the nation—not according to the orange idiot who will take over on the 25th of January or whatever, but it is truly one of the most productive states ever in the United States.”

“To be very frank with you, I think everyone is really trying to do their damn best OK,” he answered. “And some idiot—the orange idiot—went on television ... and claimed all kinds of things about [California Gov. Gavin] Newsom and California and the water distribution. All nonsense.”

A caption picture humor is needed for Melania at the Carter funeral sitting there with the bored look.

The caption over her head can read, "Speaking of funerals, when is this orange monster next to me finally going to kick the bucket?"

Donald Trump is a convicted felon. We did it, America! We elected a crook! | Opinion

    excerpt:

"We did it, America! We finally put a convicted felon in the White House.

In what I’m sure was a tremendous relief for Republicans – who no longer have to worry about those burdensome “party of family values” and “party of law and order” tags – President-elect Donald Trump was sentenced Friday for falsifying business records to cover up a hush money payment to an adult-film star.

In less than two weeks, the newly minted felon and the scarlet “F” he’ll wear around his neck will tromp into the White House and show the world that unrepentant criminals can accomplish anything."

Trump whines about Canada as it helps California with its wildfires.

Trump Claims US Needs Nothing From Canada as They Bail Out Los Angeles | The New Republic

    excerpt:

“Canada is mobilizing to help fight the wildfires in southern California. Canadian water bombers are already in action. 250 firefighters are ready to deploy,” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau wrote in a post on X Thursday.

“To our American neighbours: Canada’s here to help.”

But that same day, Trump had a very different perspective on the relationship between neighbors: “We don’t need anything,” he said during a press conference in Palm Beach, Florida, not speaking about the wildfires specifically but just generally complaining because that’s what he does.

“We don’t need their fuel, we don’t need their energy, we don’t need their oil and gas. We don’t need anything that they have,” Trump continued.

“And I said to Trudeau, I said, ‘Why are, why are we subsidizing you 200 a—250 billion dollars a year? And he said, ‘I really don’t know.’ And I said, ‘Well, I don’t know either.’ I said, ‘What would happen to Canada if we didn’t?’ He said, ‘Canada would be obliterated.’ I said, ‘Well, then Canada should be a fifty-first state.’”

Justice Clarence Thomas’s megadonor friend collects Hitler memorabilia – report

    excerpt:

"The Republican megadonor whose gifts to the supreme court justice Clarence Thomas have come under the spotlight has a private collection including a garden of statues of dictators, including Mussolini and Stalin; Nazi memorabilia; and paintings including two works by Adolf Hitler, the Washingtonian reported.

“I still can’t get over the collection of Nazi memorabilia,” the Washingtonian quoted an anonymous source as saying, regarding a visit to Harlan Crow’s Texas home. “It would have been helpful to have someone explain the significance of all the items. Without that context, you sort of just gasp when you walk into the room.”

Crow, the source said, also had paintings “done by George W Bush next to a Norman Rockwell next to one by Hitler”.

A painting of Thomas and Crow smoking cigars in company including the rightwing activist Leonard Leo was included in an explosive report by ProPublica, detailing Crow’s lavish gifts to Thomas over more than 25 years.

ProPublica also described trips on private planes and yachts and stays at lavish resorts.

In a rare statement, Thomas said he had been advised such “personal hospitality” did not have to be declared under federal rules."

Trump says Putin meeting being set up to end 'bloody mess' of Ukraine war

    excerpt:

"Trump has previously suggested he would seek to end Russia’s war in Ukraine, now approaching the three-year mark, within 24 hours of assuming office.

Russia says it is open to to dialogue and diplomacy — although critics say that in reality its proposals amount to little more than a Ukrainian surrender."

    https://www.cnn.com/2024/05/31/politics/felon-trump-rights-what-matters/index.html

    excerpts:

"Trump’s conviction does not automatically prevent him from holding a US passport. But it could make it difficult to travel to some countries.

Thirty-eight countries don’t allow felons to enter their borders, according to World Population Review, which says that some of those countries deny entry to felons “up front” while others do so only after such a conviction is “discovered.” That list includes Canada and Mexico, as well as Australia, China and South Africa."

"In Florida, where Trump is a resident, the Sunshine State has a similar felon disarmament law on the books. That law bars people convicted of a felony in Florida courts from possessing a firearm and also extends that prohibition to individuals found guilty of a felony in another state.

But under Florida law, the state’s Clemency Board “will not consider requests for firearm authority from individuals convicted in federal or out-of-state courts,” according to the state."

"It would be difficult for anyone with a felony conviction to get security clearance. But presidents do not need to obtain security clearance. The voters have essentially given them access to all the country’s secrets."

Trump has picked some of his personal criminal defense attorneys to be in top positions in his second presidential term.

He has selected Sauer to be Solicitor General and Blanche to be Deputy Attorney General.

Those are two high-level federal positions in the country that are supposed to facilitate justice that will likely be filled by Trump's personal criminal defense attorneys.

Supreme Court rejects Trump’s bid to delay sentencing in his New York hush money case

    excerpt:

"Trump is represented by D. John Sauer, his pick to be the solicitor general, who represents the government before the high court."
