The Supreme Court wasn't likely to rule in favor of Trump.

He was on the Ellipse, away from the White House, doing a personal campaign event the day of the Capitol riot.

He's been trying to somehow deem it as part of his presidential duty to make sure the 2020 election was fair (to unfairly overturn Biden's win).

Even if he had been in the White House performing presidential duties, it's not his duty to investigate whether elections were conducted fairly, let alone try to overthrow a legitimate election.

Mo Brooks tried to argue that the DOJ should protect him from civil suits for his flaming speech on the Ellipse that helped incite the riot because it was supposedly part of his Congressional duty. The DOJ told him to get lost.

Brooks was on the Ellipse doing a personal event with Trump.

 

Maybe Mr. T is now having to pick his fights due to cash flow, court ordered payments, lawyers fees and scarcity of lawyers who want to work for him.
I betcha Alina won't see a dime, but maybe he'll let her wipe his ass if he ever were to get in the White House again.

 

Trump should have picked a more experienced lawyer than Habba.

He will need someone better to do the appeal.

Trump and Habba did everything to ruin their image in front of Judge Engoron and the plaintiff.

Habba didn't know enough to stand when she raised an objection.

Trump purposely started fights with Engoron.

Cases aren't won with that type of behavior.

That was for a civil trial.

Trump has a criminal trial scheduled to start March 25, 2024. He will be required to attend. He would be even more foolish if he treats the judges in his criminal cases like has in the civil docket.

He won MI in 2016 but lost in 2020 by 154,000 votes (although he thinks he won).

 

When looking at all that, do you ever consider that Russia would want the American president to be the strongest, wisest, most informed on the issues leader of his country?

Of course, they wouldn't. They would want the weakest, most bellicose, most ignorant on the issues person that speaks off the top of their head without bothering about the facts concerning events that affect the entire world.......a leader liable to make decisions on internationally important issues on a hair-trigger. Putin would want the American president to be the man (or woman) that's easiest for him to handle, right?

Having Trump be practically worshipful of Putin doesn't hurt ol' Vlad, either.

Hence, Putin and his 'subjects' would want Trump to be POTUS & they did everything possible in 2016 to get him elected. It worked.

That there are tens of millions of American voters that won't (or can't) see that is the biggest threat to the democracy that they claim to love so much.
