    91 criminal counts.

It took that much to convince Trump to even start to listen to his attorneys.

He could have avoided all of this by listening to his White House counsel after the 2020 election.

He could have easily returned the government documents.

He could have left the Stormy Daniels issue alone.

But he feels compelled to be defiant and dance on the edge of the cliff.

It makes one wonder if Trump's defense attorneys made any remarks to him about quitting if he went ahead with his Monday press conference.

A slew of officials in the DOJ threatened to resign if Trump installed Jeffrey Clark as Attorney General after the 2020 election. It stopped Trump.

Jeffrey Clark is one of the 19 defendants in the GA criminal case.

The GOP focusing on the future is not likely

Trump has made the 2024 primary and general election about his criminal cases, even though he says he's been indicted for everyone else.

He's spending the PAC money defending himself that should have been used for the election ,and an increasing amount expected next year.

His base is still devoted to him and will be in 2024 even if he doesn't win the nomination.

This is the price the GOP pays for allowing Trump to commandeer the party and render it FUBAR.

The Dominion lawsuit against Fox revealed that after the 2020 election Tucker Carlson said he wanted Trump's silly stolen election narratives to finally stop.

Almost three years later, he's still entertaining Trump's stolen election narratives by reportedly planning to interview him on outlets like Twitter instead of Trump participating in the GOP presidential debate..

Carlson was fired from Fox as part of the lawsuit agreement between Fox and Dominion. Fox paid Dominion $787 million.
