Trump should have tested the waters at his previous rallies about endorsing Oz. He would have heard the boo he's now hearing.
That's the ultimate. The next pressure call to Kemp after the primary: Trump: 'Even though the count says you won by 20%, everyone knows you lost by spates. So just find enough votes for your opponent Perdue to be the winner.'
John Eastman Pressed Pennsylvania Legislator to Throw Out Biden Votes excerpt: "The emails also paint a portrait of Mr. Eastman as a visiting professor in Colorado who was respected as a conservative thinker — winning praise from conservative students, including one who thanked him for “having the courage to stand up for your beliefs” and complained of being harassed by liberal professors “for being a white male” — until he fell into disrepute at the university as his efforts to overturn the election became known. After more than 200 professors and students signed a petition against him for questioning the results of the election on Twitter, he wrote: “Oh, brother. These people are indefatigable.” And he complained in emails that he was overworked, as he rushed to challenge the election on behalf of Mr. Trump and teach his classes over Zoom. For a while, he retained the support of his supervisors, including one who cheered him on when Mr. Eastman told him he was doing legal work for Mr. Trump. But after Mr. Eastman spoke at the pro-Trump rally on Jan. 6 that preceded the riot at the Capitol, baselessly claiming that Democrats had placed ballots in “a secret folder” inside voting machines in a bid to rig the results, he became a lightning rod for criticism. That same afternoon, a former colleague at the university wrote him to say that he had engaged in “seditious actions” during his speech. Within hours Mr. Eastman fired back, calling the accusation “defamatory.” As the days went on, Mr. Eastman defended himself against a blizzard of attacks from those who called him “a traitor” or worse. He often disavowed the violence that erupted at the Capitol and sometimes blamed it on the leftist activists known as antifa. Citing low enrollment, the university canceled Mr. Eastman’s spring courses and his contract expired with the college."
John Eastman Pressed Pennsylvania Legislator to Throw Out Biden Votes excerpt: "In the months since, more information has emerged about Mr. Eastman’s central role in trying to overturn the election, including writing a memo laying out steps he argued Mr. Pence could take to keep Mr. Trump in power. In March, a federal judge ruled in a civil case that Mr. Eastman and Mr. Trump had most likely committed felonies as they pushed to overturn the election, including obstructing the work of Congress and conspiring to defraud the United States. The actions taken by Mr. Trump and Mr. Eastman, the judge found, amounted to “a coup in search of a legal theory.”"
Federal Judge Finds Trump Most Likely Committed Crimes Over 2020 Election excerpt: "WASHINGTON — A federal judge ruled on Monday that former President Donald J. Trump and a lawyer who had advised him on how to overturn the 2020 election most likely had committed felonies, including obstructing the work of Congress and conspiring to defraud the United States. The judge’s comments in the civil case of the lawyer, John Eastman, marked a significant breakthrough for the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol. The committee, which is weighing making a criminal referral to the Justice Department, had used a filing in the case to lay out the crimes it believed Mr. Trump might have committed. Mr. Trump has not been charged with any crime, and the judge’s ruling had no immediate, practical legal effect on him. But it essentially ratified the committee’s argument that Mr. Trump’s efforts to block Congress from certifying Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s Electoral College victory could well rise to the level of a criminal conspiracy. “The illegality of the plan was obvious,” wrote Judge David O. Carter of the Central District of California. “Our nation was founded on the peaceful transition of power, epitomized by George Washington laying down his sword to make way for democratic elections. Ignoring this history, President Trump vigorously campaigned for the vice president to single-handedly determine the results of the 2020 election.”"
A public records request was made by Colorado Ethics Institute to University of Colorado, Boulder where Eastman once taught and used the university email server. It's the source of some of the Eastman emails that were turned over to the Jan. 6 committee and that have revealed Eastman's approaches to trying to overturn the 2020 election. Trump attorney John Eastman used CU email account to advise Pennsylvania state Rep. Russ Diamond on challenging that state's 2020 election results
At one time, Eastman was a prof at Chapman University, in Orange County, California. I don’t know if he still teaches there.
What happened to John Eastman? – Orange County Register excerpt: "It’s with some sadness and much bewilderment that we watched former Chapman University law professor John Eastman’s overwrought remarks during his recent address to the California Republican Assembly’s conference in Buena Park. Our nation is facing an “authoritarian moment,” Eastman opined, as he offered a dictionary definition of the term: “relating to or favoring a concentration of power in a leader or in an elite.” So much for a sense of self-awareness. America isn’t having an authoritarian moment now, but endured one when the professor had the former president’s ear. Eastman’s memos advised Donald Trump on various post-election scenarios, including a path for Vice President Mike Pence to invalidate Electoral College results and ultimately let Trump stay in power – something Eastman later called “not viable.” Had Pence followed it, the nation would have bypassed the election process and concentrated power in one leader. “It’s unlike anything we’ve ever seen in this country, as he fomented the coup, and attempted to disrupt the hallmarks of democracy: the peaceful transfer of power,” UC Berkeley law school dean Erwin Chemerinksy told the Los Angeles Times. Chemerinsky joined a bipartisan group calling for a California Bar Association investigation of Eastman’s efforts. We remember Eastman in his heyday challenging Orange County’s pension-hiking scheme and admired his stated commitment to protecting the Constitution. What happened to him? Where was the judgment of Republicans who prominently featured a man who has descended into the fever swamps? After his memos and rhetoric at a Jan. 6 rally near the Capitol caused blowback, Eastman retired from Chapman. The University of Colorado Boulder stripped him of his public duties as a visiting scholar – something that prompted Eastman to file a First Amendment lawsuit against CU. He’s now fighting a House oversight committee subpoena of his emails. Instead of taking responsibility for his anti-democratic actions, Eastman claims (through is attorney) that he merely upheld his duties representing his client’s interests. Perhaps, but let’s always remember that Eastman’s memos advised his client on a strategy that could have undermined American democracy and the U.S. Constitution."
John Eastman Retires From Chapman University excerpt: "John Eastman, a law professor at the Fowler School of Law at Chapman University who had drawn increasing scrutiny over his controversial involvement with some of Donald Trump’s more outlandish election claims in recent days, has agreed to resign his position at the university. The announcement of Eastman’s retirement came in the form of a brief statement by Chapman President Daniele Struppa on Wednesday. Eastman also released a statement, saying he had “mixed feelings” about resigning. “After discussions over the course of the last week, Dr. John Eastman and Chapman University have reached an agreement pursuant to which he will retire from Chapman, effective immediately. Dr. Eastman’s departure closes this challenging chapter for Chapman and provides the most immediate and certain path forward for both the Chapman community and Dr. Eastman. Chapman and Dr. Eastman have agreed not to engage in legal actions of any kind, including any claim of defamation that may currently exist, as both parties move forward.”"

A Capitol riot defendant asked a court if he could have 2 guns confiscated from him returned so he can kill snakes on his property excerpt: "Hand and his wife, Mandy Robinson-Hand, were both charged with the same four misdemeanors after they were spotted amid a crowd of rioters fighting with a line of Metro DC Police on January 6, 2020. They did not have any firearms on them at the time, although Hand had broken off a piece of metal fencing and placed it into the back pocket of his jeans, a criminal complaint said. In March, Hand had his guns taken away from his home after a request from prosecutors to restrict his firearms possession was granted by a judge."
