    https://www.cnbc.com/2022/04/27/boeing-lost-billion-dollars-on-trump-air-force-one-plane-deal.html

    excerpt:

"Boeing disclosed Wednesday that it has lost a whopping $1.1 billion in costs related to its deal with the Trump administration to modify two 747 jumbo jets to serve as Air Force One — and CEO Dave Calhoun admitted the aviation giant "probably" should not have cut the deal in the first place.

Even more losses on the Air Force One contract could be coming in future quarters, Boeing warned in a regulatory filing.

Air Force One is the official designation for any plane carrying the president of the United States.

"Air Force One I'm just going to call a very unique moment, a very unique negotiation, a very unique set of risks that Boeing probably shouldn't have taken," Calhoun said on a call with analysts.

"But we are where we are, and we're going to deliver great airplanes," Calhoun said, shortly after Boeing reported a loss for the first quarter of 2022.

"And we're going to recognize the costs associated with it."

Boeing on Wednesday disclosed a net loss of $1.2 billion for the first quarter, with a charge of $660 million associated with delays and higher costs for the Air Force One program."

CPAC has held its convention in Orlando the past two years and probably will for the foreseeable future as long as Trump is alive and in Florida..

It used to have its conventions in DC.

CPAC and the GOP started going in the direction of truther narratives circa 2013 with Trump as one of the people guiding them.

The GOP has gone full-blown truther after four years of Trump as president..

CPAC helped launch Reagan era, maintains influence

    excerpt:

"That period also saw conflicts at CPAC between more traditional conservatives who opposed the Obama administration and activists promoting the "birther" conspiracy theory that Obama was born in another country.

Donald Trump, who helped spread the conspiracy theory, was a CPAC speaker in 2013, 2014 and 2015, before announcing his presidential run in the summer of 2015.

In 2016, CPAC attendees were bitterly divided between conservative activists skeptical of Trump and the future president’s ardent supporters. The straw poll of activists that year found Ted Cruz was the preferred nominee for conference-goers."

It's difficult for a party to extricate itself after going down the hole of truther narratives.

It's a downward spiral of lazy thinking by politicians that has great appeal with voters who have become lazy-minded with the help of politicians.

Trump allies breach U.S. voting systems in search of 'evidence'

    excerpt:

"Eighteen months after Donald Trump lost the White House, loyal supporters continue to falsely assert that compromised balloting machines across America robbed him of the 2020 election.

To stand up that bogus claim, some Trump die-hards are taking the law into their own hands – by attempting, with some success, to compromise the voting systems themselves.

Previously unreported surveillance video captured one such effort in August in the rural Colorado town of Kiowa. Footage obtained by Reuters through a public-records request shows Elbert County Clerk Dallas Schroeder, the county’s top election official, fiddling with cables and typing on his phone as he copied computer drives containing sensitive voting information.

Schroeder, a Republican, later testified that he was receiving instructions on how to copy the system’s data from a retired Air Force colonel and political activist bent on proving Trump lost because of fraud.

That day, Aug. 26, Schroeder made a “forensic image of everything on the election server,” according to his testimony, and later gave the cloned hard drives to two lawyers.

Schroeder is now under investigation for possible violation of election laws by the Colorado secretary of state, which has also sued him seeking the return of the data. Schroeder is defying that state demand and has refused to identify one of the lawyers who took possession of the hard drives. The other is a private attorney who works with an activist backed by Mike Lindell, the pillow mogul and election conspiracy theorist."

Lock this guy up until the hard drives are found, intact and un-corrupted, and every copy of the data on those drives is also recovered...

Like McCarthy, Rick Perry was caught in a lie.

They should realize that the Jan. 6 committee has some of Meadows' emails.

Rick Perry Dragged After Text Message He Denied Sending To Mark Meadows Was Signed 'Rick Perry'

    excerpt:

"Perry's text signals his embrace of the "Big Lie" that the 2020 general election had been stolen, even as allegations of election fraud have fallen apart in courtrooms and in the wake of numerous audits affirming that the election was both free and fair.

Nor was this the only time Perry messaged Meadows.

According to CNN, Perry contacted Meadows twice in December 2020 to connect him with Jeffrey Clark, a former Department of Justice (DOJ) official who Trump tried unsuccessfully to install as head of the agency when acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen refused to lend credence to Trump's false claims of fraud.

Meadows does not appear to have contacted Clark at all despite Perry's insistence, though CNN notes that Meadows "withheld more than 1,000 messages from the committee on claims of privilege," per the House Select Committee's filing."

    Trump lost the electoral college.

He lost the popular vote twice.

    He lost the House

    He lost the Senate.

Trump is a 'a crybaby loser' — and any Republican with presidential ambitions must say so: former GOP lawmaker

    excerpt:

"On Wednesday, writing for The Atlantic, Mark Leibovich reported that former Rep. Barbara Comstock (R-VA) is urging her fellow Republicans to call out former President Donald Trump as a "loser" — which she sees as a necessary step for the party to move beyond him.

“Why on earth would we hitch our wagons again to a crybaby sore loser who lost the popular vote twice, lost the House, lost the Senate, and lost the White House, and so on?” Comstock told Leibovich. “For Republicans, whether they embrace the Big Lie or not, Trump is vulnerable to having the stench of disaster on him.”

As Leibovich noted, this attack is essential to defang the former President's false narrative that continues to drive his sway over the GOP.

"This is a devastating point of attack against Trump. He knows it, too, which is why he has taken such pains to loser-proof himself and scrub his MAGA universe of any doubt that he was in fact reelected 'in a landslide,'" he wrote. "Don’t let him get away with that, the cabinet of critics urged. Abandon all deference, and don’t forget to troll the troller.""

Why wouldn't Mike Pence leave the Capitol on Jan. 6?

    excerpt:

"Though Raskin did say that what happened on Jan. 6 was unequivocally a “marriage between an inside political coup at the highest levels of the administration, with street thugs and hooligans and neo-fascists.”

“No president has ever come close to doing what happened here in terms of trying to organize an inside coup and overthrow an election and bypass the constitutional order and then also use a violent insurrection made up of domestic extremist groups,” Raskin said.

What exactly prompted Pence to tell Giebels that he trusted him but wouldn’t go with him in a car because Giebels wasn’t driving is unknown for now."

    I never signed the NDA....

Why is Trump often referred to as "Pigboy Trump"?

That’s a name that has haunted him since sophomore year in high school due to an extremely embarrassing episode where he was caught naked with a bottle of olive oil, a bottle of wine, a bag of rubber bands, and a pig named ‘sweet child o’ mine’. Rumor has it the Guns N Roses classic of the same name was actually the band mocking Trump’s fondness for ‘the other white meat’, but I don’t know how true that is.

You probably have questions like - what was the oil for, why a pig, and WTF was he doing with the rubber bands? I don’t know the answers to those. Word is the grounds keeper who caught him like that left the country shortly after, a bit wealthier, and Trump himself claims it never happened. But kids can be cruel and his classmates heard the rumor and ran with it and it’s a name that has followed him to this day.

Apparently it bothers him so much, there are confidential clauses in the employment contracts of those who work for him that they’re not allowed to repeat those rumors or use the phrase ‘squeal like a pig’ while they work for him.

All of this is as honest and true as Trump himself, so you can take it to the bank, provided you’re okay with doing your banking in Russia.
