Two Florida men sentenced to community service for third-degree felony voter fraud.

Two men from The Villages admit to casting multiple ballots in 2020 election

    excerpt:

"Charles F. Barnes and Jay Ketcik pleaded guilty to casting more than one ballot in an election, a third-degree felony that could have resulted in a maximum five-year prison sentence.

According to the pre-trial intervention documents, the prosecution of Barnes, 64, and Ketcik, 63, will be deferred if they abide by a series of court-ordered requirements set by the office of Ocala-based State Attorney Bill Gladson. Court records show the men will avoid further punishment if they regularly meet with a supervising officer, complete 50 hours of community service and attend a 12-week adult civics class, among a handful of other requirements."

Barnes is not affiliated with a political party.

    Ketcik is a registered Republican.

Two more men from The Village in FL are awaiting trial for voter fraud. One (Rider) is unaffiliated and the other (Halstead) is a registered Republican.

Trump has been quiet about all of the Republicans busted for voter fraud.

Republican Donald Hartle in NV was convicted of voting twice using his dead wife's name, criminal behavior that Trump has been whining about since the 2020 election.

The judge reduced two felony charges against Hartle to one misdemeanor. He received no jail time and a year of probation.

Hartle has been a CFO for companies owned by state Republican party finance chairman Donald Ahern.

Finland and Sweden joining NATO could put Trump’s GOP in the hot seat
    By Aaron Blake

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/04/12/nato-finland-sweden-trump/

    excerpt:

"The latest big news: As Finland has leaned in recent weeks into the prospect of joining NATO, Sweden’s Social Democrats, who have long opposed NATO membership, issued a statement indicating they are reevaluating that position.

Of course, joining NATO isn’t just a matter of Finland and Sweden deciding to become members; it is also about whether current members would agree to this. The conventional wisdom is that both countries would be welcomed with open arms. In the United States, that would require at least two-thirds of the Senate voting to ratify their membership.

But exactly how that debate would go down could be quite interesting — especially in light of the GOP’s slight-but-significant Trump-era drift into more skepticism of NATO. And the looming unknown would be Donald Trump himself weighing in on the process — and not necessarily in favor.

The last two major NATO expansions came in 1999, when Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary joined, and in 2004, when seven former communist countries and Soviet republics joined. The latter was utterly uncontroversial, with the Senate voting 96 to 0 to ratify their membership. But the former presents some important lessons about how an addition of Finland and Sweden could unfold — and who might resist it."

Trump doesn't know how to address that issue either.

During his presidency, Trump dismissed NATO as being obsolete and even talked about the U.S. pulling out of NATO.

In light of Putin's invasion of Ukraine, Trump is now claiming that he made NATO great again.

Trump supposedly made NATO great again and able to defend its member countries against an invasion like the one Putin is doing to Ukraine.

Trump praised the threat of invasion by Putin as a great deal-making tactic but blamed the actual invasion on Biden for supposedly not earning the respect of Putin.

Trump has made a similar twisted statement about his insurrection at the Capitol.

He egged on his supporters to march to the Capitol and fight like hell but later blamed Pelosi for not stopping the riot.

    Trump-induced nastiness in Colorado.

Physical threats at stage mark tumultuous Colorado Republican assembly - Colorado Newsline

    excerpt:

"At another point Koppes was near the back of the venue when she saw Neuschwanger walk up on stage as Burton Brown, often referred to as KBB, was leading the assembly through party resolutions.

“Danielle walked up and tried to grab the two microphones that were at the podium,” Koppes said. “Kristi didn’t see her, she was reading the teleprompter in front of her. And, you know, when Danielle tried to reach for the microphones Kristi grabbed the microphones and then her sergeant at arms promptly escorted Danielle off of the stage.”

Ashe Epp, co-founder of U.S. Election Integrity Plan, was at the assembly and also witnessed this moment. Neuschwanger walked up on stage and appeared as if she were going to contest the results, Epp said."

Physical threats at stage mark tumultuous Colorado Republican assembly - Colorado Newsline

    excerpt:

"A top question leading into the assembly was whether candidates who had campaigned on false claims that the 2020 election was stolen from former President Donald Trump would succeed despite the preference of some party officials other candidates who sought to avoid the “election integrity” debate. It turned out to be a good day for election deniers. Governor candidate Greg Lopez, U.S. Senate candidate Ron Hanks, and secretary of state candidate Tina Peters all came away with the most support of delegates. Lopez has expressed doubt about the 2020 presidential election; Hanks, a state representative, repeatedly advances conspiracy theories about the election and crossed police lines during the Jan. 6 insurrection; and Peters, the Mesa County clerk and recorder, was indicted by a grand jury for her alleged role in an election security breach in her own office."

Trump goes after Brian Kemp of GA with his first significant donation from his war chest.

Trump pours money into a midterm race for the first time

    excerpt:

"Former President Donald Trump’s political operation is plowing cash into Georgia’s Republican gubernatorial primary — his organization’s first major financial investment in a midterm race and an indication that he’s willing to dig into his massive war chest to defeat his foes.

Trump’s Save America PAC has transferred $500,000 to a super PAC devoted to defeating Republican Gov. Brian Kemp, whom the former president has targeted over his refusal to overturn Georgia’s 2020 election results. Those close to Trump’s political apparatus describe it as an initial cash infusion ahead of the May 24 primary, which pits Kemp against Trump-endorsed former Sen. David Perdue."

On January 5, 2021, the day before Trump's insurrection, Perdue lost his U.S. Senate seat due in part to Trump's stolen election rhetoric that discouraged GOP voters in GA.

Now he's supporting loser Perdue to beat current governor Brian Kemp for not overthrowing the 2020 GA election for him.

Trump accused Stacey Abrams of election law violations that he says caused GOP losses in GA in 2020 and the U.S. Senate runoff election in 2021..

Abrams outdid the GOP in voter registration and in encouraging people to actually vote, while Trump discouraged them.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/04/13/biden-trump-records-jan6-committee/

    excerpt:

"President Biden has authorized the National Archives and Records Administration to hand over a new tranche of Trump White House documents to the House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol.

In a letter released Wednesday by the archives, Biden declined to assert executive privilege over the records — the latest batch sought by the committee after the Supreme Court rejected Trump’s bid to block such releases.

The new letter is in line with the Biden administration’s decision to err on the side of disclosure, given the gravity of the events in the Jan. 6 attack. The archives has already turned over hundreds of pages of documents to the committee.

“As to the remaining prioritized records, President Biden has considered the former President’s claims, and I have engaged in consultations with the Office of Legal Counsel at the Department of Justice,” White House counsel Dana Remus writes. “The President has determined that an assertion of executive privilege is not in the best interests of the United States, and therefore is not justified.”

In a letter transmitting notice of the White House’s decision to Trump, Archivist David Ferriero writes that the archives will deliver the records to the committee April 28.

It’s unclear what documents exactly will be included in the latest batch, but Trump previously — and unsuccessfully — asserted privilege over daily presidential diaries, schedules, drafts of speeches, remarks and correspondence concerning the events of Jan. 6 as well as the files of his top advisers and lawyers, and talking points on the issue of overturning the results of the 2020 election, according to a review of court documents.

The committee has also re-upped requests made by other House committees for all documents and communication relating to calendars, schedules, and meetings or events attended by Trump, and all video communications recorded of Trump speaking on Jan. 6, including videos that have not been made public."

Murky Statement Of The Year Award goes to special counsel Gableman who gave his reason why he wants WI to decertify it's 2020 election now:

    Gableman:

"I raise it as a possibility and suggest that if such an avenue were to be pursued, I believe that the conclusions in this report would support such a process."

Two Trump White House Lawyers Meet With Jan. 6 Investigators

    excerpt:

"Two of former President Donald J. Trump’s top White House lawyers met virtually on Wednesday with the House committee investigating the Capitol attack, after Mr. Trump authorized them to engage with the panel, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Pat A. Cipollone, the former White House counsel, and Patrick F. Philbin, who was his deputy, met separately with the panel, two people familiar with the sessions said, speaking on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to disclose the meetings.

It was not immediately clear how much information Mr. Cipollone and Mr. Philbin had provided to the committee or what they said, but they were present for key moments in the buildup to the storming of the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, including pivotal conversations and meetings in which Mr. Trump discussed using the powers of his office to try to overturn the election.

Their cooperation, which was reported earlier by Politico, added to the more than two dozen White House officials who agreed to take the committee’s questions.

The two were not under oath and their interviews were not transcribed, but the men could return for formal interviews or deposition later, one of the people said, describing it as a typical process as investigators determine who they want to question.

The interviews came as the committee learned from the National Archives that lawmakers would receive additional documents from the Trump White House after President Biden declined to assert executive privilege over them."

Because Trump's Chief of Staff Marck Meadows committed fraud by voting in North Carolina where the state has taken him off the voter role, North Carolina results need to be re-certified for Joe Biden.
