Michael Sussmann indicted, pleads not guilty in alleged FBI lie A former rep for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign who is accused of duping the FBI by hiding the reason he was sharing a tip about Donald Trump’s links to Russia pleaded not guilty on Friday to a false-statement charge. Attorney Michael Sussmann was indicted Thursday by special counsel John Durham for presenting himself as a “good citizen” when he offered the tip to undermine Clinton’s political rival, according to court records. However, he was secretly working for Clinton, Durham alleges.
He might be making a statement by flying the American flag at half-mast. He's flying it for America which he believes died when Trump lost the election. A lot of them feel that way. We got through a cold war with the Soviet Union. Now we're experiencing a cold civil war in America which Trump started and has no interest in ending.
I'd light it on fire if there were no chance of getting shot, which is a distinct possibility around here. Thinking about moving to Antarctica to gather up a penguin army and came back to take over this assbackwards place.
"No such flag or pennant may be placed above the flag of the United States. Therefore, when the US flag is flown at half-mast all other flags should be flown at half their original mast or removed."
Summary of the nine remaining GOP members of Congress who voted to impeach Trump and their opponents Trump has endorsed. Gonzalez was the tenth but announced he won't be running for reelection. And Then There Were 9: The Road Ahead for Pro-Impeachment House Republicans excerpt: "Herrera Beutler took a bizarre star turn during Trump’s second impeachment proceedings after she divulged that McCarthy, the House Republican leader, had told her that Trump had sided with the mob on a phone call with McCarthy while the Capitol riot unfolded. Since then, Herrera Beutler has stayed mostly silent about her role in the proceedings and her vote to impeach Trump. A campaign spokesperson confirmed that she plans to run for reelection. She faces what could prove a tough challenge from a primary opponent Trump has endorsed: Joe Kent, a former Army Special Forces officer. Kent’s wife, Shannon Kent, a chief petty officer in the Navy who worked closely with the National Security Agency, was killed by a suicide bomber in 2019 while on a counterterrorism mission in Syria. Kent plans to speak at a rally in Washington on Saturday in support of defendants charged in connection with the Capitol assault."
It's really not about Drumph imo. The lowest common denominator have been looking for an idiot to push their twisted ideals for years and finally found one. Anyone would have done; it's just that he, with Putin's help, managed to steal an election, and they saw their opportunity to shove their fascist views down our throats and are mad they couldn't steal another one.
I will be taking a ride down that way soon. There are many Native people in Bismarck (Chippewa, Sioux, and Mandan) and I have several in my apartment building. One guy I just met is from Fort Yates reservation. There is a big Rez just west of here which has three tribes living there together.
'Clinton indictment' blows Russia collusion conspiracy wide open, top GOP investigator says The cybersecurity lawyer indicted this week by a grand jury in special counsel John Durham's investigation could end up being the "fall guy" for Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign, warned a top House Republican. Rep. Devin Nunes , the ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee, told Newsmax on Thursday there is evidence of a broad Russia collusion conspiracy — allegations the congressman's team investigated and referred to the Justice Department . But, he cautioned the Clintons "have a long history of their lawyers and agents disappearing."
Trump is still pestering Raffensperger to overturn the election. Trump sent a letter to Raffensperger on Sepember 17, 2021 asking to selectively throw out 43,000 absentee ballots cast in DeKalb County, GA. image:
Of 129,000 mail-in absentee votes in DeKalb County, Biden received 94,000 more votes than Trump. Trump wants 43,000 absentee votes thrown out, which is about 33% of the absentee votes. Throwing out 43,000 absentee votes would effectively give Trump an extra 31,000 votes (0.33*94,000) and make him the winner of GA Trump has an official deficit of 11,780 votes in the 2020 GA election. image:
The rally in D.C. will be starting now. Let's see if it turns into anything. So far the crowd is pretty sparse.
Sorry, I'm not here to prove anything to anyone, and could not care less about US politics, because I also don't believe it matters who you vote for.
@egger If you could please provide a link with your post, Former President Trump Sends Letter to Georgia Secretary of State Raffensperger Asking to Investigate Report of DeKalb County Chain of Custody Violations; ‘If True Start the Process of Decertifying’ | The Michigan Star Former President Donald Trump sent a letter on Friday to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, asking the top election official to investigate potential threats to the state’s election integrity. In the letter to Raffensperger, Trump cited a report from The Georgia Star News, which detailed that 43,000 absentee ballot votes counted in DeKalb County, Georgia 2020 election potentially violated the chain of custody rule. “Large scale Voter Fraud continues to be reported in Georgia. Enclosed is a repot of 43,000 Absentee Ballot Votes Counted in DeKalb County that violated the Chain of Custody rules, making them invalid,” Trump wrote.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...embarrassing-trumps-fraud-claims-have-gotten/ excerpt: "It’s useful to point out, too, that there’s no evidence anything weird happened in DeKalb County anyway. Overall, Georgia voted about five points more Democratic last year than it did in 2016, about the same shift as seen in Kansas (where Trump has spent no energy accusing people of fraud). In DeKalb County, Trump went from losing by 63.5 points then to 67.4 points last year, a shift of 3.9 points away from Trump — less than in the state overall. If you assume that all 43,000 of those votes were for Biden, itself not a fair assumption, DeKalb County would have become more supportive of Trump than it was in 2016. This is … unlikely."
https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...embarrassing-trumps-fraud-claims-have-gotten/ excerpt: "“Enclosed is a report of 43,000 Absentee Ballot Votes Counted in DeKalb County that violated the Chain of Custody rules, making them invalid,” the letter continues. After that, he helpfully suggests, Raffensperger can “start the process of decertifying the Election, or whatever the correct legal remedy is” — a funny addendum since there is no such remedy even if one were warranted. And here, none is warranted. This “Chain of Custody” claim being made by Trump stems from a report by a pro-Trump website called Georgia Star News. It’s part of a group of sites established to mimic local news coverage but largely promoting stories friendly to the right. The author of the DeKalb County story, for example, writes for “The Georgia Star News, The Tennessee Star, The Ohio Star and The Arizona Sun Times,” which must yield her a ton of mileage reimbursements."
