According to an earlier article on the topic, Ruby Freeman is a woman in her 60s who works at a mall, selling items at an accessories stand. Her business is called Lady Ruby’s Unique Treasures.

Freeman’s name was mentioned by President Trump a few times on the leaked phone call and every time Raffensperger contested the claims, saying: “Mr. President, the problem you have with social media is that people can say anything.”"

If Raffensperger receives any more calls from Trump, he should have a psychiatrist next to him to handle Trump instead of a lawyer.

 

Trump used the alleged 18,000 illegal votes for Biden cast by Ruby Freeman as a reason for why he should be given a minimum 11,780 votes to overturn the Georgia presidential election.

"Biden, speaking at a drive-in rally in Atlanta, said Trump “spends more time whining and complaining” than he does working on solving the coronavirus pandemic and added dismissively: “I don’t know why he still wants the job — he doesn’t want to do the work.”

During the day Monday, more current and former GOP officials rebuked the effort to upend the election.

Former Sen. John Danforth of Missouri offered sharp criticism of the attempt by Hawley and the others, an especially stinging statement since Danforth has long been a supporter of Hawley.

“Lending credence to Trump’s false claim that the election was stolen is a highly destructive attack,” Danforth, the 84-year-old three-term senator from St. Louis, said in a written statement. “It is the opposite of conservative; it is radical.”

 

Trump wasted his time with the one-hour call to Raffensperger who can't personally give Trump votes to overturn the election. The vote count was certified weeks ago after two recounts and Georgia's electoral votes were cast on December 14.

Most of Trump's demands during the phone call are outside the scope of Raffensperger's job function. Raffensperger can supply Trump with particular election data if it doesn't violate privacy laws, but he can't personally overturn an election for Trump. Neither can Mike Pence in the Congress.

Trump should have taken his claims to court instead of Raffensperger. He already has for some of them and has lost repeatedly.

 

If Trump thinks Ruby Freeman cast 18,000 illegal votes to Biden, Trump should have his lawyers present the evidence in court. Trump is confident of the claim because he says it's from Trump media, not social media.

Trump could also request a district attorney in Georgia to investigate alleged voting fraud.

The U.S. attorney general William Barr, who resigned in December, said his department saw no evidence of significant fraud in the 2020 election.
