Murkowski calls Trump's tactic a pressure campaign.

Murkowski calls on Trump to begin transition process, decries 'pressure campaign on state legislators'

    excerpt:

"In a statement Sunday evening that came minutes after members of the Trump campaign announced the departure of Sidney Powell from the legal team, Murkowski said that the president's claims had been found by multiple judges to be "without merit."

"A pressure campaign on state legislators to influence the electoral outcome is not only unprecedented but inconsistent with our democratic process," Murkowski said in the statement released through Twitter.

"It is time to begin the full and formal transition process," the Alaska senator concluded."

FEC chairman believes Sidney Powell (whom the Trump campaign just fired).

The Nation’s Top Election Official Has Overdosed on the Trump Kool-Aid
As the FEC is poised to add new members, its chair, Trey Trainor, is pushing baseless conspiracies that the election was stolen from Trump.

The Nation’s Top Election Official Has Overdosed on the Trump Kool-Aid

    excerpt:

"Such proclamations carry a bit of extra weight when coming from the chair of the FEC. But Trainor’s sole source for it appears to be the word of Sidney Powell, a right-wing attorney who’s representing the Trump campaign in its efforts to block the certification of President-elect Joe Biden’s election victory.

“If she says there is rampant voter fraud... I believe her,” Trainor wrote of Powell, who has alleged that U.S. monetary policy is in hock to Soros and amplified “QAnon” conspiracy theorists.

Campaign finance experts recoiled at Trainor’s apparent embrace of the dubious allegations. “My biggest concern with Commissioner Trainor is his partisanship, and to the extent that overlaps with the conspiracy theorizing about election fraud, that’s a concern,” said Paul Seamus Ryan, the vice president of litigation with the group Common Cause, in an interview on Tuesday."

On January 21, 2021 Trump will need to relocate to a non-extradition country and I can’t think of a better location than either Russia, or one of its former republics such as Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan,

    Or better yet,………..

    Where's the beef?

Chris Christie, a Trump ally, calls for Trump to start producing evidence.

Christie calls Trump's legal efforts a 'national embarrassment' as more Republicans speak out

    excerpt:

"Quite frankly, the conduct of the president's legal team has been a national embarrassment," Christie said during an interview on ABC's "This Week." He pointed to lawyer Sidney Powell's various claims about voter fraud for which she has been "unwilling to go on TV and defend and lay out the evidence that she supposedly has."

"This is outrageous conduct by any lawyer," he said, adding that Trump's team often discusses election fraud "outside the courtroom, but when they go inside the courtroom they don't plead fraud and they don't argue fraud."

Republican Maryland governor Hogan and Trump are involved in another rhubarb.

Election updates: Christie calls Trump legal team 'national embarrassment'; Hogan tells Trump 'stop golfing and concede'

    excerpt:

"Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan – a fierce Trump critic who did not vote for him in 2016 or 2020 – told CNN's "State of the Union" that Trump's effort to pressure legislators in states he lost into flipping the electors for him was "completely outrageous."

"Now we're beginning to look like we're a banana republic," Hogan said. "It's time for them to stop the nonsense. It just gets more bizarre every single day. And, frankly, I'm embarrassed that more people in the party aren't speaking up."

Trump attacked Hogan on Twitter after the interview aired Sunday, criticizing him for his purchase of coronavirus testing kits for his state from South Korea.

"If you had done your job, America's governors wouldn't have been forced to fend for themselves to find tests in the middle of a pandemic, as we successfully did in Maryland," Hogan tweeted in response.

    "Stop golfing and concede.""

    Attorney Marc Scaringi

Trump Campaign Lawyer’s Website Admits Biden Won the Election

    excerpt:

"The website for Scaringi Law, a Harrisburg practice Trump campaign attorney Marc Scaringi co-founded with his wife, refers to Biden as the president-elect in an un-authored post about how the Democrat’s “plan could affect your taxes.” The Republican lawyer, a Trump delegate to the 2016 RNC, took over the campaign’s ballot case in the Keystone State after three other attorneys—Linda Kerns, John Scott, and Douglas Bryan Hughes—withdrew from it Monday evening. “The race to the date of certification in several of these key states, including Pennsylvania, is on, and it’s up to the Trump lawyers to get some good results in these lawsuits to try to flip the vote count,” Scaringi said on his iHeartRadio show last Saturday.

Last week, lawyers from another firm, Porter Wright, stepped down from the case. The wobbly lawsuit is intended to stop the certification of election results in Pennsylvania, claiming it was unfair that voters in some Democratic-leaning counties were allowed to fix ballot mistakes. There is no evidence that even if it were successful, it would come close to reversing Biden’s nearly 70,000 vote margin in the state."

    Scaringi background.

Another shake-up on Trump campaign legal team

    excerpt:

"Scaringi ran for the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate in 2012, finishing fifth out of five candidates. Tom Smith, a former Democrat and local official, won the Republican nod but was defeated by incumbent Sen. Bob Casey Jr., 54 percent to 45 percent.

Scaringi served as a campaign aide to then-Rep. Rick Santorum when he first won election to the Senate in 1994. Scaringi was elected as delegate to the Republican National Convention in 2016 on the Trump slate, and won the same position this year, although without the endorsement of the campaign.

In a Facebook post early this year, the lawyer pledged his fealty to Trump.

“When asked then, as now, I will vote for Donald J. Trump on the first ballot, the second ballot and on every ballot until he is nominated President of the United States,” Scaringi wrote."

The bar is set pretty low for trump's lawyers, and for the judicial candidates he picks.

Kelly's suit is trying to force the state legislature of PA to select a slate of electors that will vote for Trump.

Congressman Kelly, Sean Parnell file lawsuit to get mail-in ballots thrown out of election results

    excerpt:

"Gov. Wolf also sent Channel 11 a statement:

“In a year of crass and partisan litigation, this lawsuit sets a new low bar. To be clear, Congressman Kelly is seeking to disenfranchise the nearly 2.7 million Pennsylvania voters who voted by mail-in ballot in the general election, including over 100,000 of his own constituents. The legislation that the Congressman’s lawsuit attacks was passed by an overwhelming bipartisan vote in 2019. His effort to undermine it now an extraordinary partisan attack, and should be condemned by anyone who cares about the legitimacy of our democracy.

“Pennsylvania had a free, fair, and secure election. Millions of Pennsylvanians followed the rules allowed by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the Supreme Court of the United States, and each voter, regardless of political party, must have their voice heard. These attacks against the core values of Americans are intended to undermine our democracy, and we must reject them.

Pennsylvania is going to fight every single attempt to disenfranchise voters. We will protect this election and the democratic process. Pennsylvania will count every vote, and we will protect the count of every vote.”
