Barr’s memo authorized prosecutors “to pursue substantial allegations of voting and vote tabulation irregularities prior to the certification of elections in your jurisdictions in certain cases,” particularly where the outcome of an election could be affected. “The policy change was not based in fact,” the assistant U.S. attorneys wrote. Shock and frustration inside Justice Dept. over Barr’s vote-investigation memo The letter was signed by assistant U.S. attorneys in 15 different federal court districts: Western Pennsylvania, Western North Carolina, New Mexico, Maryland, Southern Ohio, Eastern Kentucky, Southern Iowa, Western Arkansas, Southern New York, Eastern New York, Oregon, Kansas, Northern California, the Virgin Islands and the Northern Mariana Islands. Two signers were from Oregon."
Trump Almost Admits He Lost Election, Says ‘Time Will Tell’ This is probably the closest we’ll get to a concession speech. By David Moye 11/13/2020 06:23 pm ET https://www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-almost-concedes-time-will-tell_n_5faf07dbc5b6b956698b10c9 excerpt: "President Donald Trump almost went there and admitted that — contrary to the constant stream of falsehoods he has sputtered for the last 10 days — he actually lost the Nov. 3 election to Joe Biden. The key word, of couse, is “almost.” Because — like “Happy Days” character Arthur “Fonzie” Fonzarelli —Trump can’t ever admit being wrong about anything. It happened Friday in a news conference in which Trump discussed how the White House planned to handle the COVID-19 pandemic in the coming months."
At the end fo Trump's Friday Rose Garden address as he was walking away without taking questions, a reporter asked him if he would finally admit he was defeated by Biden. Trump had a few of his staffers in the Rose Garden who applauded him at the end for showboat effect. A laugh track from a TV sitcom would have been more appropriate.
Posts of bloggers about Trump's Friday address. : "I can honestly say I am sad at the way the Republicans have gone to such links to tiptoe around this snowflake's ego. What is happening to our nation?" "President Slur 'N Blur is at it again." "Operation Warped Brain in full view." “It appears Donald Trump’s hair dye has conceded."
181,194 new coronavirus cases and 1389 deaths in the U.S. on Friday. At his address on Friday, Trump attributed it to more testing. Trump said nothing about the increase in hospitalizations and deaths and what to do about it as people wait for a vaccine. Covid in the U.S.: Latest Map and Case Count excerpt: "At least 1,389 new coronavirus deaths and 181,194 new cases were reported in the United States on Nov. 13. Over the past week, there has been an average of 140,984 cases per day, an increase of 76 percent from the average two weeks earlier."
The Toll Since Coronavirus Struck: 309,000 More Deaths Than Normal By Josh Katz, Denise Lu and Margot Sanger-Katz Updated Nov. 12, 2020 Covid in the U.S.: Latest Map and Case Count excerpt: "From March 15 through Oct. 24, the most recent date with reliable death statistics, estimated excess deaths were about 38 percent higher than the official coronavirus fatality count. If this pattern holds, it would put the current death toll at about 333,000 people. Many epidemiologists believe measuring excess deaths is the best way to assess the impact of the virus in real time. It shows how the virus is altering normal patterns of mortality. The high numbers from the coronavirus pandemic period undermine arguments that the virus is merely killing vulnerable people who would have died anyway."
Republican Governor Mike DeWine of OHIO - OHIO - yes ............ OHIO ............ has signed an order that ALL people who enter any business MUST wear a mask, "..... because we know masks work." These are Mike DeWine's words. He also said that all business owners and employees must be protected against Covid-19 by having masks worn by patrons. Is he the lone Republican politician who believes the infectious disease experts and doctors??? If the U.S. economy and "life" is to be returned to normal ................ doesn't it just SIMPLY stand to reason that we need to get Covid-19 under control??? For "claiming" to be rough and tough, so many Americans have a problem with wearing a mask to defeat a DISEASE - not a political posture. It's a VERY SIMPLE task - wearing a mask - I've had to wear one (some even protecting against dangerous chemicals) in my technical profession in big construction. No sissies on those projects. This IS NOT a test of manhood........................ it's a global pandemic we're fighting - one that killed over 240,000 U.S. citizens .......... so far. When will brains and "smarts" win out over the "macho, tough guy" posturing?????
DeWine is in a precarious position... Ohio is blowing up with cases, if he closes businesses down they will lynch him on the Statehouse lawn... If he doesn't do "something" they will lynch him on the Statehouse lawn... Masks are his safe alternative because most people will ignore it anyways... because "Mah Rights!". Ohio is pretty fucked...
I'm glad you have finally worked it out, the mask thing is to control the panic, not the virus Ironic it took a Republican Governor for you to see that
Not sure where you got the idea I'm some super mask supporter guy... You must have gotten confused somewhere along the line.
Anyway, you should all just switch to a general bitch about republicans thread With the exception of opening up the little briefcase with the big red button for the nukes, even I dont care what Trump does now, he lost the election in the end, so....
If you Republicans value individual rights when you complain about COVID masks and AR-15 rifles, you need to shut the fuck up when we Democrats use out freedom of speech. If that's too frustrating for your ass, go and fondle your kangaroo.
All his competent lawyers left him so now he hired the incompetent Giuliani to run his ballot lawsuits.
Some hospitals in Indiana and Michigan have gone from one COVID floor to 4 COVID floors, and don't have enough nurses to work in them.
I get it now. Since trump, and Rudy will be out of a job soon, Rudy was hoping to get a job mowing lawns at the Four Seasons Landscaping.
