I predict that by whatever premise CAN be used--even if he loses an election-(if the republicans and the supreme court allow an election) --he will not leave office. And with the firing of most oversight office holders--he is shaping this country up to be a trump dictatorship. It's obvious he doesn't give a shit about the constitution. I believe that he is going to see that his businesses get a (probably hidden) large chunk of the billions set aside for helping such.

You following me around again? When's the last time you posted in this thread otherwise?

There is a third Trump's response to Covid thread as a comprimise

The alternative to Trump is now only Biden anyway, so how relevant is this thread now, how do they all still take this seriously?

That's a valid on topic response to anything.
In this thread Trump this blah blah blah, Trump that blah blah blah....ok, but...Biden. As if President Biden isn't going to be a bigger shitshow

If i see something worthy to reply to and spend my 2 cents on I will. The above post of yours was not such a post, but just so you know for future reference or notice your triggeringattempts also get ignored at times.
If you want to flatter yourself you can insist people nuancing your opinions or criticism in here are following you... Lol

That Saudi Investment into the Carnival Cruise Ship Line happened last week because Trump is invested in that too. Funny how that sort of thing works, huh?

What premise could he conceivably use for staying on? He might (probably would) say "Da election is rigged!" Then get his Supreme Court buddies to back him up. Then what?

The U.S. now has the most coronavirus deaths, 19,827, which surpasses Italy.

Trump can once again brag that he made America first.

Considering the mass deaths and unemployment due to the virus and Trump's belittling of it, Trump is likely going to need more than a false narrative about Biden's son if he wants to be reelected.

Giuliani and Barr should considering working on their own narrative about the virus.

Yeah--then what? Would the military be obligated to remove him? No one has ever stayed in office after losing an election. With all he has done, all he continues to do--can anyone predict what he WILL DO? If he continues to echo the dictators credo of --"the press is the enemy of the people"--it's obvious that those in thrall to this SOB would back him up by believing that the election was rigged if he doesn't get the required amount of votes. Not to mention, the recent supreme court decision to deny voting by mail in the midst of a coronavirus emergency proves to me that the supreme court is now owned by the republican sycophants/traitors and would/will do whatever he and they want. The zombies will do as they're told, dragging the rest of us along with them.

During the senate impeachment non-trial his lawyers said he can do whatever he wants "If it's in the national interest"... Senate republicans backed this decision. So, if Trump determines it's "in the national interest" to be "supreme leader" for life................................................................

    Yeah... Fuck this guy.

In Trump's mind, it's always about Trump.

Now he's letting everyone know that he is facing what he thinks is the toughest decision of his life on Easter weekend, consternating over how his decision will affect his TV ratings and his reelection bid.

Trump spends Easter weekend pondering the 'biggest decision' of his presidency - CNNPolitics

    excerpt:

"Still, with unemployment spiking and his approval slipping, Trump is eager to declare victory against what he calls the "invisible enemy." He's previewed a "big celebration" when the coronavirus outbreak has ended and hopes the country's reemergence from virtual lockdown will help him politically.

Even with an administration response beset by poor preparation, confusing messaging and persistent shortages in supplies, Trump believes he's behaving like a "wartime president" and will be rewarded with a boost in support like past crisis-time leaders. Marathon briefings from the White House, not universally supported among Trump's allies, have nonetheless proceeded apace even after the conservative Wall Street Journal editorial board called them "boring" and "off-key.""

It's classic Trump once again, always in pursuit of the biggest party.

His biggest decision, his biggest party, his name on a grand celebration, and what he says will be the biggest recovery and an economy that will be even better than what it was before the coronavirus.

Even in the midst of a deadly pandemic, Trump is still concerned about himself, like he has been his whole life.

    Trump’s war with Palm Beach
For Palm Beachers, watching Trump claw and bluster his way through the Republican primary has a familiar ring.

    Trump’s war with Palm Beach

    excerpt:

The thing with Trump is that he’s always at war, a man on a mission to get the next thing, whether it’s the biggest pole, the best social gathering of the season, or the idea that the rest of America should be calling him “Mr. President.”

And woe be to those who get in his way."

    Unfocusedanakin post 22036 -
I'm not sure where you stand on the black "welfare queens" comment. I'm a white man with some years under my belt, and I've worked in a technical field all my career.

I get the impression that many white people assume that black people are all on welfare. HUGELY wrong. I've worked with some fine black men and women, and there are LOTS of black nurses, doctors, lawyers, technicians in various fields, physical therapists, teachers, college professors, musicians, business owners, etc. Are some on welfare? You bet. But so are a lot of white people. The common thread? Drugs, mainly. Being a burned-out drug waste case knows no particular skin color. And neither does being lazy in school. Bad parenting knows no color either. Many factors involved. And not all welfare recipients are to "suck the system dry." Some are forced there because of job loss, and having kids beside forces their hand. I know both white AND black people that had to go on welfare, and HATED IT. They were embarrassed and couldn't wait to get back to work.

Blanket statements about blacks always being on welfare are NOT accurate. The same goes for the thought that all white people are go-getters and are highly skilled productive members of society. I don't know if that was your intent by that comment, but no one group should be painted with the same broad brush.

Legislative & court moves by Republicans to suppress the black vote ought to convince any black people whose agenda the Republicans support in any way - and it's NOT THEM. The U.S. under Trump and his hand-picked puppet courts are turning the U.S. into another COMMUNIST Russia, COMMUNIST China, COMMUNIST N. Korea or Iran where there is one supreme leader, one supreme party, and the population has no - or little - choice. The way things are headed, freedom will only be for certain, select people ……….. those being in the top 1%. Republicans have been attacking workers' rights for DECADES. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce wants workers to have ABSOLUTELY NO VOICE AND NO RIGHTS. There actions betray their words. And it doesn't matter if you're a D, an R, an I, a L, or a GP. You're JUST A WORKER - a piece on their chess board of getting filthy rich with your sweat and toil. The Republicans are ALWAYS the ones to weaken the Clean Air & Clean Water Acts to allow businesses to pollute more with no EPA teeth to protect our environment. They cripple the EPA by slashing their budgets, eliminating field personnel, and appointing EPA heads who tow the corporate line for less environmental laws.

What kind of country are we leaving our children and grandchildren?? It's NOT free anymore …… unless you worth millions and can afford VERY high-priced lawyers, and have the "best connections." So how many of you think your kids & grandkids are going to be top-level executives in a Fortune 500 company?? If you don't think they'll be worth multiple millions ……… you have some serious thinking and voting to do.
