There is one quick and easy way to pay for all this, raid all those wealthy pensioners super funds and assets. Bernie or even Trump more likely to do that than Biden Nancy Pelosi the type of old as fuck hoarders they'd have to target
Boris Johnson in intensive care with coronavirus By Jorge Fitz-Gibbon April 6, 2020 | 3:29pm https://nypost.com/2020/04/06/briti...s-johnson-in-intensive-care-with-coronavirus/ excerpt: "“Over the course of this afternoon the condition of the prime minister has worsened and, on the advice of his medical team, he has been moved to the Intensive Care Unit at the hospital,” Johnson’s office said in a statement Monday. Johnson, who tested positive for the virus, had previously said he was taken to the hospital Sunday as a “precautionary step.”"
Trump blocks Fauci from answering question about drug Trump is touting By Allyson Chiu and Meagan Flynn April 6, 2020 at 6:46 a.m. EDT https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2020/04/06/coronavirus-fauci-trumpdrugs/ excerpt: "Separately, the president of the American Medical Association, Patrice Harris, told CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer on Sunday that she would not prescribe hydroxychloroquine if she had a coronavirus patient, cautioning against Trump’s “What do we have to lose?” rationale. The drug’s well-known side-effects can cause fatal heart problems in patients who are taking other drugs that affect the heart’s rhythm, such as anti-depressants, or who have existing heart issues. “You could lose your life,” Harris said. “It’s unproven. And so certainly there are some limited studies, as Dr. Fauci said. But at this point, we just don’t have the data to suggest that we should be using this medication for covid-19.”" "Since mid-March, Trump has privately and publicly pushed unproven or experimental drugs as “cure-alls,” The Washington Post reported. Trump has on some occasions even taken advice about the effectiveness of experimental treatments from Rudolph Giuliani, his private lawyer, who has now morphed into the president’s unofficial science adviser, The Post reported Sunday."
A portion of the Trump faithful will support him under any circumstances. They would feel proud knowing that their own relatives died of the coronavirus so that Trump would have the luxury to belittle the medical and science community that could have prevented many of the deaths if he had listened to them and acted early. In their minds, Trump doesn't let the eggheads push him around (with the possible exception during his final desperation and fading chance of reelection). Twenty thousand U.S. deaths due to Trump's lax attitude that could have been only a thousand can be pathologically perceived as a Trump victory because it's better than a million deaths that could have occurred, as Trump has said, if everyone had done nothing.
Donald Trump’s Coronavirus Optimism, Explained Kevin Drum Political Blogge March 9, 2020 Donald Trump's coronavirus optimism, explained excerpt: "Likewise, what matters now is telling people that everything is OK; there are lots of test kits available; the death rate will be low; and Democrats are just a bunch of worrywarts. Eventually, when the coronavirus epidemic ebbs out, Trump will take credit for being right all along and the previous few months will be forgotten. By fall, Trump will seem like the bearer of comfort and relief while Democrats will seem like a bunch of partisan crybabies screeching that the sky is falling. You will, of course, note that this is a completely sociopathic attitude. It assumes that Trump cares only about his own political future, not about containing damage from the coronavirus itself. The fact that his rosy nonsense might actually get more people killed either never occurs to him or else he just doesn’t care. If this is how Trump thinks, there’s no upside to being a pessimist. It doesn’t distinguish him from anyone else and it makes him unpopular since no one likes being constantly lectured about not going to movies, always washing your hands, taking care of grampa, and so forth. From a purely cynical political point of view, Trump’s attitude is almost all upside and virtually no downside."
In the U.S., a percentage of the population puts its faith in a nacissist who is paranoid about his so-called Deep State and allows him to make life-or-death decisions based on his gut feelings. That included a call for packing the churches on Easter Sunday because Trump felt it was a special day for him which he later said was just an aspirational remark to be (pathologically) optimistic to the public when it became clear to just about everyone that it was delusional. A German Exception? Why the Country’s Coronavirus Death Rate Is Low The pandemic has hit Germany hard, with more than 100,000 people infected. But the percentage of fatal cases has been remarkably low compared to those in many neighboring countries. By Katrin Bennhold Published April 4, 2020 Updated April 6, 2020, 7:09 a.m. ET A German Exception? Why the Country’s Coronavirus Death Rate Is Low excerpt: "Trust in Government Beyond mass testing and the preparedness of the health care system, many also see Chancellor Angela Merkel’s leadership as one reason the fatality rate has been kept low. Ms. Merkel, a trained scientist, has communicated clearly, calmly and regularly throughout the crisis, as she imposed ever-stricter social distancing measures on the country. The restrictions, which have been crucial to slowing the spread of the pandemic, met with little political opposition and are broadly followed. The chancellor’s approval ratings have soared. “Maybe our biggest strength in Germany,” said Professor Kräusslich, “is the rational decision-making at the highest level of government combined with the trust the government enjoys in the population.”"

Trump’s Aggressive Advocacy of Malaria Drug for Treating Coronavirus Divides Medical Community While Dr. Anthony Fauci has urged caution in using hydroxychloroquine, some doctors are prescribing it to patients who have the virus despite the fact it has never been tested for it. By Peter Baker, Katie Rogers, David Enrich and Maggie Haberman Published April 6, 2020 Updated April 7, 2020, 12:16 a.m. ET Trump’s Aggressive Advocacy of Malaria Drug for Treating Coronavirus Divides Medical Community excerpt: "In an interview on Monday, Mr. Giuliani denied any financial stake and said he spoke with Mr. Trump only after the president had already promoted the drug publicly. Mr. Giuliani said he turned to the issue after researching former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. in Ukraine, a project that led to the president’s impeachment. “When I finished Biden, I immediately switched to coronavirus and I have been doing an enormous amount of research on it,” he said. As it happened, Dr. Zelenko was born in Ukraine, and when they first spoke, Mr. Giuliani accidentally called him “Dr. Zelensky,” mixing up his name with Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky. Mr. Giuliani said he brought a prosecutor’s experience to his research. “One of the things that a good litigator becomes, is you kind of become an instant expert on stuff, and then you forget about it,” he said. “I don’t claim to be a doctor. I just repeat what they said.”"
Trump angrily lashes out when confronted with critiques of coronavirus response Analysis by Stephen Collinson, CNN Updated 10:57 PM ET, Mon April 6, 2020 Trump angrily lashes out when confronted with critiques of coronavirus response - CNNPolitics excerpt: "The willingness of a President -- who once predicted a "miracle" would sweep the virus away -- to disregard expert advice has colored his entire administration, from climate change to foreign policy and the current crisis. The political model that made him so attractive to Americans dismayed with the elite expert establishment is based on disruption -- and when the facts get in the way they become superfluous. Suspicion of science and government expertise run deep in the core of the Trump team's DNA. Hundreds of bureaucrats have left the government as Trump has blasted a "deep state" of public officials. One of his ex-senior advisers, Steve Bannon, once described Trump's mission as the "deconstruction of the administrative state." The President also installed loyalists in positions for which they appear unqualified but advance his priorities. A widely panned briefing last week by his son-in-law Jared Kushner, now dabbling in the pandemic response, was a case-in-point. But the pandemic has shown that a "deep state" of scientists is vital to the public good during a public health threat. One reason why Trump appeared to be flailing in recent news conferences may be that his political approach -- based on denying robust fact-based evidence -- is being badly exposed."
Laura Ingraham of Fox News, members of The Dr. Oz Show, trade advisor Peter Navarro, son-in-law Jared Kushner, and Giuliani are looking for a Hail Mary. Trump's characters are running frantic as the substance on a shingle hits the fan. Trump angrily lashes out when confronted with critiques of coronavirus response - CNNPolitics excerpt: "The same day, Laura Ingraham, a Fox host, visited Mr. Trump at the White House with two doctors who had been on her program promoting hydroxychloroquine, one of whom made a presentation on its virtues, according to an official, confirming a Washington Post report. The next day, Peter Navarro, the president’s trade adviser, who has been assigned to expedite production of medical equipment and become an advocate of the drug, upbraided Dr. Fauci at a White House task force meeting, according to people informed about the discussion."
Trump angrily lashes out when confronted with critiques of coronavirus response - CNNPolitics excerpt: "In one of the strangest moments of Monday's appearance in the White House Briefing Room, Trump seemed to suggest he had rushed an unspecified mystery therapy to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who is battling Covid-19 in intensive care. After meeting the heads of pharmaceutical companies, Trump said: "I've asked them to contact London immediately." "They speak a language that most people don't even understand, but I understand something, that they've really advanced therapeutics and therapeutically, and they have arrived in London already," Trump said. "We've contacted all of Boris' doctors, and we'll see what is going to take place, but they are ready to go." It was not clear which therapy Trump was referencing. And his offer would apparently involve the British Prime Minister's doctors handing over treatment decisions to American pharmaceutical companies. But in recent days he's been aggressively touting the anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine and dispensing medical advice that it should be given to coronavirus victims."
You won't repeat them words about our Democratic elected leaders here in this country. We like our Democrats and our retired people.
