But I don't smoke tobacco, just pot, which is not as harmful to the lungs and I only take a few tokes per day. Still, I do wake up in the morning with a pot smoker's cough, so perhaps I should at least cut way down on the smoking and use mainly edibles until this is all over.

that i check every day or almost every day. there's also blender artists and pinterest. yahoo's online mail server, politicians asking for money sometimes tell you things.
news feeds i'm subscribed to on my e-mail also include daily koss, mother jones, mother earth news, tree hugger, huffington post, nature briefing (from the journal),
i also get catalogue flyers from walthers model railroad, micro mark, harbour freight. then there's the trainz download station.
then there's a couple dozen others i seldom remember, some of which i have accounts on. even a discord server.

 

Actually that first CDC report on mortality, even though it was the first 500 deaths, diabetes came out as the most serious pre existing condition. 10.6% of deaths, 2nd was hypertension around 9% of deaths, smoking was only 1.3%


Think it's more before the fact than after, virus uses the ace-2 enzyme to get into cells, which amongst other things is what the body uses to regulate blood pressure, high viral load is what is more likely to overwhelm the lungs later. Smoking is more about what happens after. A lesser effect if the virus hasn't taken over that many cells in the first place

 

People who smoke are more likely to develop pneumonia from coronavirus than those who don't. As for diabetes, those with type 1 are the most at risk while those with type 2 are less likely to develop complications as long as they're taking their medication, getting some exercise and avoiding sweets. Tom Hanks has type 2 diabetes but he got over the virus with mild symptoms.

P.S. anyone have a recommendation on manufacturers of a quality remake of an M4 bayonet?

 

I’m sure there’s a lot out there you can search for online. Last time I even touched a bayonet was an M9 Phrobis- many, many years ago, and that was to mount it on an M16A2 rifle for drill and ceremony events

 

Tons but remake quality is a mixed bag and an authentic / vintage model runs about 1/2 as much as the rifle.

 

I guess that's one way to fight boredom, talk about guns!
