I play something called Operation Flashpoint. Its game engine is based off a military training software.

 

Coriolus effect is an interesting thing and is also highly dependent on the direction the shooter is facing. If the shooter is facing parallel to the rotation of the earth it will have a very slight effect on the bullets vertical trajectory. But if the shooter is facing perpendicular to the rotation of the earth it will be at its strongest effect deflecting the bullet in a horizontal plane. Eh no real reason for reading my post except for a fun tidbit about the coriolus effect.

You could measure it in radians, as well as any other unit of measure. A radian is just a portion of the total circumference of a circle. Saying something is 1 radian only indicates that it is XX percentage of a circles total circumference. Where as if it was measured in a finite unit of measure such as Feet or Meters it would be easier grasped on a scale of size.
