The concept of being suspended

i smoked pretty much everyday in the morning before i got to school. i rode with my friends and we would smoke a couple bowls in the car on the way to school. it was so fuckin funny because we were always late and we always REEEEKED of pot. all my teachers were fuckin awesome they just laughed and went about the class. i loved my school alot of people would smoke on the side street on the way to the pizza place for lunch. i never really cared for smoking at lunch because it just made me super tired the rest of the day exspecially after eating a bunch of pizza LOL.

btw i had a friend that i went to school with that had weed by the ounces just walking around the school. you could smell a trail behind them in the hall way. the kid that was doing this was a grade below me and he got busted selling to an under cover cop at lunch time. he went to juvie for a while and then he came back to the school for a while and decided it sucked so he went to an alternative school.

 

I go to an alternative school and when i got caught selling methadone my principal just made me go to a counselor to make sure im ok and suspended me for 5 days,

 

grades only matter to the extent to what you want to do with your life. if you want to go to college then yes, grades do matter. if not, then they dont. some people want a life of manual labor like being a carpenter or landscaper for their whole life, so for them grades really don't matter.

and even then if you want to go to college grades don't matter that much. our president was a C student. not really phenomenal. also, why is that the people that we learn from (teachers, college professors), the people that supposadely know the most, make less money than people that are not as smart as them?

and yes, suspension is a ridiculous punishment, but what the fuck are schools supposed to do? teachers and principals can't hit students anymore. really there aren't any punishments i can think of that would work better.

First there's detention = extra school,
then there's suspension = less school.

That's what they say. They play the "nice guy", trying to help you out, fix your problems, and improve your life. But in reality, once they see you as someone who opposes the administration, who's outside the system, they don't give a shit about you. They're out to bust you, fuck you up, bring you down.

you're generalizing. i am going to be a teacher and i have no intention of ever trying to bust, fuck up, or bring down anyone

 

where i live u go to a dif school when u get suspended, and depending what you do you'll get a nice long stay. kids that were there for weed were usually 30-60 DAYS!! but i dont know all the circumstances.. i had 60 for public intoxication... its just way to fucking long.. imo because they dont really try to put ethics in their politics. then again when has politics ever had anything to do with ethics. its a fucking oxymoron. i prolly mean that differently than you guys will take it though but yeah thats all.

 

out of school suspensions are more of a punishment for the parents then the child it seems.

 

That comment wasn't concerning teachers, it was towards the actual school administration. Superindentant, Principal, VP, and (in my experience) some counslers.

Hell, my dad's a teacher, and I have lots of teacher I admire and love their classes. Nothing wrong with the educators

i had a pack of cigarettes on me so i got in trouble for that
the next day i didnt feel like goin to school so i told my mom i was supended

but yeah, i almost wish i got caught with like a bit of weed, cause it would be a nice 3 week break where i could get a job and make a shit load of money working during school hours, then come back to school much richer.

 

You can when 1. smoking isn't allowed on school grounds and 2. You are too young to smoke.

 

so you think someone would hire you, take the time to train you, and then pay you, just for three weeks of employment? :lol:

 

nononono thats the best cuz you bring more shit to school and walk out behind the prtable and smoke a few bowls go see your friends then come back in stoned as shit and go to sleep HAHAHA thats what we did anyway. and for the other guy that ten day suspension is the schools time to decide wether there going to expell you or slap you on the wrists and send you to class. my schools always just took the shit and then my principle looked at me and says "Steven, how many times have you been up here this week now? Get out."and i go home best scool ever

umm i never said i'd quit...all i said is that i could work 3 weeks during school hours. also, how the fuck would they know i wanted to work for only 3 weeks, i'd obviously say i'd work there as long as i could.

@sezzy: there's no age limit to smoking cigs, only buying them. also why don't you just walk a couple meters to get off school property, they can't do shit there.
